My warmest moments lie within a satisfied smile on my parents’ face, a sweet word from a loving companion, a joyful presence among close friends, eating ice creams even when it’s all dripping, enjoying chocolates and pizzas, watching the sunrises and sunsets, going around for long drives, staring the silent moon and listening to soothing tunes…. Just want go travel the world some day. I love challenges and being praised on face is something I despise. Plastic people and their fake love is my prime turn off! I am what the past sixteen years of my life have taught me. I blog here.

Could you tell us what made you decide to blog, and what was the inspiration behind it?

I heard so much about blogging that I myself developed a quest for it. I first started reading blogs and I thought it was a great platform to share my scrutiny with the rest of world. The idea of blogging basically fascinated me because of the critique subsequent to every post made. It portrays the diversity of viewpoints and I have always wanted to learn more about everything and comprehend the diversity of culture, humor, love and just everything.

What do you think sets your blog apart from other blogs?

My blog is not philosophical like many others in the queue. Some posts in there are very sentimental and I always, I mean literally always find myself unique from other teenagers and my blog is the first evidence of this claim. It reflects me, my thoughts and all of assorted hues of life in general.

If you could choose one characteristic you have that brought you success in life, what would it be?

Difficult to choose one because I have a variety but that one characteristic would certainly be my ego. I just can’t take any kind of crap against my self-respect and this has always gone in my favor. I was giving an interview for a scholarship and even my interviewee noticed my highly maintained ego and surprisingly appreciated it.

What was the happiest and gloomiest moment of your life?

So far in my little 16 years of life there were zillions of happy moments. It could be when I first cooked the breakfast for my dad and enjoyed the appreciation and pride in his eyes or it could be when I was selected among the 61 exchange students representing Pakistan in the U.S.A or It could be my surprise farewell party, before leaving for America, arranged by my best friend, Aruba, who makes my world go round. Honestly, I have a whole lot of happy moments in my life and one is yet to come. Yes, when I meet my Mr. Unknown! :D

Gloomiest: Undoubtedly, when I had to say goodbye to my family while departing for United States. Since then I hate Goodbyes.

Urdu Blogs have got huge potential, when do you think they will really take on the online horizon in Pakistan?

Honestly, I have seen barely a couple of Urdu blogs but I do wish to see many more of them. I love my language and the beauty and expression of it. I hope Urdu bloggers bring a revolution in the blogging world with influential yet simple blogs.

If you could pick a travel destination, anywhere in the world, with no worries about how it’s paid for - what would your top 3 choices be?

Mecca

Paris

London

What is your favorite book and why?

Reading is my most practiced hobby and I have read many books. It would be injustice to others if I pick one from the heap I like, but there are two books that swayed my perspective of life and those are “The kite runner” and “The love story”. Kite runner because it made me live every emotion one could on this globe. The book made me sob, laugh, wonder, shout, cheer, love and hate. It was a masterpiece. The love story because I am a big love story reader and this is one love story which is intense and incredibly sweet. Apart, from this I love the character of the girl insanely.

What is your favorite meal, dress, and sport?

Meal: Very picky about food. Mostly everything spicy and yes I could never refuse to pizza.

Dress: Sari and pishwas.

Sport: swimming, badminton, cycling and basket ball.

What’s the first thing you notice about a person (whether you know them or not)?

Attitude, nails and feet; Yes, all at the same time :D

Whose Future is more bright in Pakistan; English blogs or Urdu Blogs?

English blogs, and that’s because it helps communicate outside the shell. Also, the blogosphere of Pakistan chiefly comprises the English speaking community.

How Pakistani bloggers can benefit from blogs financially?

I never looked at blogging from financial side and therefore can’t say much about it.

Do you think Pakistani bloggers tend to remain somewhat self-centered and really don’t go out of their shells? Is it the oriental style of blogging, or they are still unsure about it?

Uh, some of us do stay inside the shell and I think that’s alright because not each of us wants to expand our horizons. I am myself an introvert so won’t critique.

What do you think where the Pakistani blogosphere is right now?

It’s growing on a great pace. People are developing more interest in blogs which is beneficial because we learn a lot from each other. I have learned half of what I know from blogging.

Who are your top five favourite bloggers in Pakistan?

http://n4naked.blogspot.com/

http://salmanlatif.wordpress.com/

http://saadiam.blogspot.com/

http://awaisaftab.blogspot.com/

http://2short2sweet.blogspot.com/

Have you ever become stunned by the uniqueness of any blogger in Pakistani blogosphere?

I adore the blog of a lady, Seher. Her blog always brings a smile on my face and sometimes a frown (only when she raises the sad sides of issues). She excels at amusing others from her writings.

What is the future of blogging in Pakistan?

It has a very bright luminous future. Our bloggers have a lot of talent and expression. It’s an inspiration for a lot of people and our blogosphere is increasing every day which marks fortune in blogging.

You have also got a blogging life, how has it directly affected both your personal and professional life?

I discover something new and captivating almost every other day and that affects the person I am. Sometimes I am stunned to know certain realities of life and I just wonder about the width of shell I am living in. Even when the world is so small I don’t really know what’s really happening outside of my own little dreamland.

What are your future plans?

I plan to be a Chartered Accountant InshAllah. Also, I would like to write about ‘love’ sometime in my future. The wrong concepts of love opted by mainly teenagers and even adults really disturb me and pursue me to paint my colors of love…

Any Message you want to give to the readers of The Pakistani Spectator?

Always be yourself when writing, don’t adapt other people’s writing style and ruin the unique nice manner of your own. One last thing love Pakistan J

  3. Let your dreams come true and bring tears of pride in your father.

  4. The link to Komal’s blog above does not take us to any blog. It leads to just a static page with ads on it.

This is happening because the URL in the anchor text is :

    http://www.http.com//www.komalali10.blogspot.com/

    Whereas it should be: http://komalali10.blogspot.com/

Some one please rectify the error.

    Thanks
