Would you please tell us something about you and your site?
I am just another random blogger known as Chramed One from India. I work for the software industry and I started my blog as means to escape the frustration at work. Now I am totally addicted to blogging. I scribble about everything ranging from my personal life to stories to funny incidents to present situations around us.
Do you feel that you continue to grow in your writing the longer you write? Why is that important to you?
I started the blog as a total amateur. I had only written essays for my exams in school before this. I feel that I have gotten better in time and there has been quite an improvement in my writing skills now. Writing is important to me because I see it as a method to treasure my thoughts (Since forgetfulness has become a common trend among our generation).
I’m wondering what some of your memorable experiences are with blogging?
The entire blog in itself holds some memorable experiences. Especially when I write some funny incidents from my college days, I get to re-live each memory of what I write.
What do you do in order to keep up your communication with other bloggers?
The best way to communicate with any blogger is using their posts. I read their post and leave a comment on it. At times comments also help in discussion of some serious issues. I also write about some mundane activities on my blog. This way I can keep in touch with my long distance friends.
What do you think is the most exciting or most innovative use of technology in politics right now?
An Innovative method would be a website or a blog to communicate with the common crowd. The home minister of Karnataka in India has a personal blog. That blog does give us some insight of their actual world.
Do you think that these new technologies are effective in making people more responsive?
Yes, it does make people to read, express their personal views and communicate with politicians easily about that current issues(i.e. if they are an active member in their blog).
What do you think sets Your site apart from others?
Every person is unique and since each individuals express their views differently. It makes their blog unique as well. My blog is just another unique page where I express what I feel and how I see the world around me.
If you could choose one characteristic you have that brought you success in life, what would it be?
This one reminds me of the personal interview round for a job interview. Well if in an interview, I would have to make up some answer for this. But here I can say that I have not yet reached the success point, without any second thought. I tell myself everyday that there is still a lot to achieve in life to become successful.
What was the happiest and gloomiest moment of your life?
I have had many happy moments. But I still haven’t experienced the happiest moment which can make you jump, scream and cry together. Again there have been several silly gloomy moments. But no such moment that has kept me gloomy for many days.
If you could pick a travel destination, anywhere in the world, with no worries about how it’s paid for - what would your top 3 choices be?
1) Paris (every romantic girls dream)
2) Phuket (for the amazing beaches)
3) Greece (for the lovely city)
What is your favorite book and why?
I don’t have any single favorite book as such. There are many books which never loose their charm and I can read them again and again. One such is The Diary of Anne Frank. The book beautifully describes the innermost emotions and fear of a young girl. It shows how a disaster can affect a single person’s life.
What’s the first thing you notice about a person (whether you know them or not)?
If it’s a girl first thing I would notice is the clothes and shoes they are wearing (well in my defense that’s what most of the girls do) and if it’s a boy, I would notice their height.
Is there anyone from your past that once told you you couldn’t write?
No one has ever told me that. My parents have always encouraged me to write unreadable essays and now my friends encourage me to write my blog.
How bloggers can benefit from blogs financially?
You can always put up an advertisement in your blog by Google ad sense to earn money. There are also these websites where you can submit your article and gain popularity to become an author.
Is it true that who has a successful blog has an awful lot of time on their hands?
People with a lot of time on their hands will surely blog regularly. But the success of a blog comes from the bloggers style and content of writing. If it is a heartfelt content, then people will surely come back to his/her blog even if the postings are irregular.
What role can bloggers of the world play to make this world more friendlier and less hostile?
There is saying that says that a frog inside a well always thinks that the well is the entire world. So never be such a frog, communicate with all and get to know their opinions too. Good communication is always the best way to know everyone around you. A blogger always has the opportunity to get to know people from around the world. The bloggers should never discriminate any fellow blogger based on their country or religion.
Who are your top five favourite bloggers?
I can never limit my favorite bloggers to 5. You can refer the ‘Blogs that motivate!’ list on my blog. They all are special and each one carries their own creativeness. But one blogger who inspired me to start blogging is Em. That was the very first blog is read and was totally impressed by her writing skills.
Is there one observation or column or post that has gotten the most powerful reaction from people?
No there has not been any such posts as yet. My posts are usually about my personal life or stories. But I do hope to write one such powerful post someday.
What is your perception about Pakistan and its people?
All I have heard about Pakistan is from the news or some other informative channels. That is usually regarding politics or their army issues. But after I started blogging, I have come across some very amazing bloggers from Pakistan. They are wonderful people with great ingenuity.
Have you ever become stunned by the uniqueness of any blogger?
Yes there is one blogger Tinkerbell’s Neverland, who writes about very small silly yet ponderable issues which we try to overlook in our everyday life. There is also Lena who writes about love relationship and emotions so well. It really leaves you speechless at times.
What is the most striking difference between a developed country and a developing country?
I would say there is always a difference of the government and politics between a developed country and a developing country. A developing country is always in news for its inner political issues throughout the year. Whereas the government of a developed country is very strong and will never be news for silly issues.
What is the future of blogging?
Blogging is presently the easiest way to communicate globally and express your views in front of all the people around the world. It is one place where you can rant your hearts content and no one will stop you. A blog is an innovative way to discuss issues on relationship, global market, politics, and new products, basically a very good platform to put forth your ideas.
You have also got a blogging life, how has it directly affected both your personal and professional life?
Personally I would say people have gotten to read about me, which otherwise I would have never spoken of. I have gotten to know myself better too. My blog has become almost like a personal journal, which few years down the line I will read again and laugh over it.
What are your future plans?
Future plans surely would be to get a better job. But now its the time of recession and I am just hoping for secure better job.
Any Message you want to give to the readers of The Pakistani Spectator?
The first and foremost thing is that we are all human beings and no one likes to harm each other. We are all living on the same land just separated by borders and we too understand the trauma you normal civilians go through because of various blasts around your country. Strengthen your politics and also please strive to make Pakistan a terrorist-free nation. We have only one life and let us live this one without any hatred. Never discriminate people based on gender. May God always be with you. Also my sincere thanks to The Pakistani Spectator for showing interest in my blog.
