By Gul Raiz • Jun 1st, 2008 • Category: Entertainment • One Response

The Indian Premier League will reach its climax today (Sunday), when the Rajasthan Royals, led by Shane Warne, take on the Chennai Super Kings, skippered by Mohinder Singh Dhoni, in what promises to be an action-packed final in Mumbai.

The final showdown was set up after Chennai defeated Punjab in a one-sided semi-final on Saturday. On Friday, the Royals had defeated the Delhi Daredevils in the first semi-final to reach the finals. The final promises to be the highpoint of a gruelling and glamorous tournament which many analysts believe has changed the face of cricket forever. The much-anticipated match will be shown live exclusively on Geo Super at 8.30 PST.

  1. This tournament has proved that Cricket has evolved into a new type and has shown that Sohail Tanveer is the best bowler and not the flamboyant shoib akhtar.Even retired oldies like Macgrath, gilhirst and Jayasuurya have left their mark. But from india’s viewpoint the rise of unknown names like Gony,Asnodkar, raina into spotlight and demise of dravid, lakhsman etc is going to change the face of indian cricket
