Over the past decade, Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Center has established itself as a center of excellence providing comprehensive care free of cost to thousands of indigent cancer patients. This pioneering, state-of-the-art hospital located in the heart of the Punjab was founded by Imran Khan, one of Pakistan’s most illustrious cricketers. Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre on Wednesday launched its Zakat Collection Campaign for 2011. A hospital spokesperson said that over Rs9b had been spent on free treatment during the last 16 years. He said that the hospital’s budget for 2011 is Rs3.7b. Donations can also be deposited at the hospital offices

    Being humans we should appreciate these initiatives while at the same time we should also try to give generously, be it shaukat khanum, sahara trust or many others. even i was surprised to see these good initiatives online as well. like dekho.com.pk they have introduced several packages for poor people.

    I agree with you siddra and feel the same pain as any other human would feel for our brothers and sisters. i visited the link of dekho.com.pk and i searched there for the packages i think we all should generously promote these activities so that our brothers and sisters can be benefitted.
