Imran Khan’s undemocratic proclamation
By Anwar Jalal • Dec 19th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 7 CommentsImran Khan , stated in Mardan the other day(13 Dec) that as Nawaz Sharief wanted to become a civilian dictator so overthrowing of his government by Pervez Musharraf was a right step. Imran khan these remarks are highly shocking .He always talk about the upholding of democracy and supremacy of the constitution while on the other hand he holds up the removal of people’s elected government by a dictatorial action of a military general.
The said statement of Imran Khan may also create an impression among some circles that if the present elected government is overthrown by dictatorial means he will not oppose it A genuine democratic politician can never prop up a dictatorial act against democratic set up. Even removal of the otherwise exceedingly ostracized and detested president Zaradri through autocratic act will never be approved by true democrats.
As ,in spite of all his taint image ,he has been elected by elected Parliament. His removal through authoritarian means will be assault on democracy and constitution. Upholders of such act can never be the upholders of democracy and supremacy of constitution.
Better the well-regarded Imran Khan ,be advised that such statements may lead to the inference that upholding of democracy and constitution are not his pinnacle priorities.

Fully elected and Big Majority gave Nawaz Sharif, some extra DREAM to become King Nawaz sharif,
and he assaulted the So Called Judiciary of Pakistan, Currency debacle and fighting and NOT knowing what was happening in and around country took his Kingship away. Now if Imran Khan Handsome and good Looking Womaniser say DOES not see the light at the End of Tunnel , then he is right too.
In last TWO years or so what Democracy has given to the nation?
DEMOCRACY DEMOCRACY DEMOCRACY
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
This is pseudo democratic phase as this was partly designed by Musharraf whose NRO like criminal offense has produced illegal political characters that came and occupied the top seats.
Imran is extra ordinary straight forward person and say what he feels about people. So he has long way to go in diplomacy of politics in which he looks quite unfit in our hypocrite system
Imran Khan should honourably retire from politics now and run his university and hospital. He is a good cricketer, administrator and social worker.People love him for his charity work
First of all 1997 elections were not free and fair,so how such elections could bring democracy..
Nawaz Sharif ’s govt is not democracy so is not Zardari’s…….
The writer desperately need to know the basic requirements of democracy….
When political parties don’t have democracy with in the party,so how could you call their rule as democratic?
Let me ask a simple question to the confused writer
Doesn’t Zaradri pose serious threat to Pakistan”?
Zardari is a serious danger to Pakistan….
Imran knows Army is not coming in power now,so mid term election should be welcome to save Pakistan from dangerous corrupt cum westernized liberals….
Mr Tahir Democracy is slow process. One of problem with us istanis is that we are perfactionists and too idealists . We wish every thing in perfect form from the very begining
Basic requirments for democracy are gained with the passage of time . No democratic country in the world started deomcracy with prior requirements .
Better Mr Tahir update his study
