These days I am not showing any interest in sending or receiving SMSs I don’t know what’s wrong. But one SMS was an eye opener for me. I don’t know to what extent the facts and i guess given in it are true but still I kept thinking about it for hours after reading it again and again. It goes like thin
“if u have food in the refrigerator clothes on ur back & a roof overhead & a place 2 sleep too, u r richer than 75% of this world.
If u’ve money in the back, in ur wallet & spare change somewhere u r among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy people.
If u wake up this morning this with more health than illness, than u r more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.
If u have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of the imprisonment, agony of torture n the pain of starvation, u r ahead of 500 million people of this world.
Never forget to thank ALLAH”
The thing came in my mind right after I read it was ALHAMDULILAH (all praise is of ALLAH). Seriously I never realized that how lucky I am. I never realized that I belong to the top 8% of this world when it comes to money and among the 75% of the rich of this world? . I have never experienced any battle at my home town, never been in any kind of imprisonment or I don’t know how this torture and starvation look like?
But have I paid for all this? If yes than how much? Its complete meter of luck and grace of Allah upon me and many of us. But his come with responsibility; and that is to take care for those who lack in all that. Islam, what I believe, is also about caring and sharing besides many other features of this beautiful code of life. we must try to share what we have due to our good luck with those who never been as lucky as we are. As per me it will be the only and best possible pay back towards the blessings we have and still are enjoying.
