Hospitals – A place for ailing humanity or A Profitable Business

By The Pakistani Spectator • Jun 28th, 2007 • Category: Uncategorized • No Responses

Doctors were once thought to be God on earth. For a few decades this profession has adopted many ill-practices to make money.

Now this era came when people pray that fate don’t let them go to any hospital, for many a reasons like body parts smuggling, lack of infections control, poor quality medicines available in hospital.

If a person is brought in a serious condition that doctors may assess that he/she is going to die soon, they give a list of medicines to his/her family members to bring. When he/she dies who takes the medicines with the body of deceased. Hospital staff collects that medicines and deposit in hospital stores to be sold to another patients.

You would be knowing a new project named as Quaid-e-Azam International Hospital, Islamabad, Pakistan. Just see below the rates mentioned against rooms for sale:

QIH Room Rates

12.5 Million is a hell of amount for purchase of just a room. Imagine what would be the room rent. Would this hospital be able to cure poor patients in a developing country. I think the room rent will exceed the price of any type of medication required during a day.

I mean it a business project nothing else. To treat only business class and Ministers. Many hospitals can be built in remote areas in the amount spent for one, for average and poor people.

The motto of the hospital is “Care and Care is what we Ensure”, means a rich can have “Care” on rent now, but a poor cannot. Name of father of the nation “Quaid-e-Azam” should be a sign of relief for the nation.

God Bless and give us the right direction to think for ourselves and for ailing humanity also.
