The letter of the Establishment Division bearing No 1/64/2008-E-6, dated June 30, 2008, says that:
Dr. Shahid Masood would get:
- Would get Rs 700,000 per month as salary
- His house rent would be Rs 150,000
- Utility allowances Rs 25,000
- Salary would be raised by Rs 50,000 per annum
- Free mobile phone
- Two residence telephones
- One fax
- Business class tickets would be given for the national and international travels
- Recreational allowance would be given
- Would be paid Rs 50,000 extra

Looks like upto this point, Dr Shahid Masood’s whole practice was to raise the price offered.

Keep it up Dr. Shahid. Your salary has been increased several times from what you used to get in the year 2000 and your biased commentaries based on your ill perceptions have suffered Pakistani nation alot. Pakistan is going to achieve the 2000 position and you have already got what you deserve to get (according to me) in 2015. I think there are many bloggers here who can do better than you, the only difference is they are not greedy. So you are a living example of success of marketing and selling oneself.

Mustafa, tell me what has impressed you most, this “mare” being willing to go anywhere or do anything for money or others being not so greedy? You are right, though, this ill intentioned ‘dacter’s’ “ill perceptions” and willingness to be as biased as biased can be just for personal enrichment is a bad example of self interest over national interest.

guys i dont suppport dr. shahid for this act. but its before time to comment that he ll keep his mouth shut,,,, or he did just to raise his price. above mentioned could be the most probable reasons. but we should look at our own actions ..what we have done for the nation… before passing comments on others.
Atleast most of us did not push the nation towards destruction for our own gains if we have not done anything positive for it.

Mustafa Sahib, one can apprecaite and relate to your pain when Pakistan is called a ‘cursed country’ even if by a lover of Pakistan which Malik Sahib most definitely is, otherwise he won’t be here to waste his time, would he? A country is cursed when most of its citizens compromise on principles.
Mahatab, this ‘daktar’ won’t be ‘numb & dumb’ as you suggest, in PTV he stands to hurt us most. Remember that infamous Goebels (aslo a Doctor!) with state propaganda machinery in his hand proved much more dangerous than his Fuehrer!
I am surprised to read the review of my countrymen about SM recent move. Poor Pakis. We are just wasting our time in keeping our hearts bad about this news. I think what SM has done is right. Allah has given him one chance of building an empire for his family in his life. SM was a clever and mature guy that’s why he got it. Now in 5 years if this govt runs, which if Mush presents will run, he will fill up his accounts not only in Pakistan but abroad as well. Plus getting expansive plots in Islamabad as gifts from different dignitaries will be an extra benifit of this job. Imagine such a great move he has taken. I salute to him and his bold decision. Please be bold enough to publish this mail also. I am amazed how people can be judgemental without knowing the background of the matter. For the information of all those who have commented on this information … Dr Shahid was getting Rs 2.5 million per month! from Geo for his highly popular programme i.e., when he left all that for PTV. Do you all still feel he has sold his self? This information was a common knowledge when Mr Musharraf banned his and Hamid Mir’s programmes from Geo. (Hamid Mir is still getting the same amount! or probably more.)
You don’t allow carzy people access to dangerous weapons, right? Now, PTV is a weapon that can become very dangerous, alomst a weapon of mass destruction, in the hands of such maniacs like this Darkter by whatever name he goes. He is sicko, lock him him somewhere in a safe place otherwise he will destroy Pakistan.
