Heart Burns or Healings ?
By Ali Yar Khan • Jun 11th, 2009 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look • 5 CommentsIf history is any guide, we shouldn’t be expecting any good in the near future from the new alignments of the politicos on the country, which are almost at loggerheads. Within the coalition of PPP led government, the ANP and JUI-F have pulled the daggers out and slinging mud without any pause. ANP is also angry over the issue of NWFP governor, and JUI-F never feels that it has blessed with enough permits and lands. Appeasing MQM is a herculean task, which at the least PPP cannot do for the life of it. PML(N) has already left the fray, and now after playing friendly opposition all these months, they are also in open to bitterly criticize the government.
It’s quite a mess. A very complex bloody mess, which is getting impossible as the time is progressing and the limit is that some circles in Islamabad have seriously started talking about early elections, as early as in first half of 2009. Everybody is confused and speaking in its own term and vying for his own interest. I don’t think anyone understands right now how we’re going to do proper oversight of this thing.
Now the Pakistani politics is moving towards it’s natural tide. PML(N) is coming in the open against PPP, and PML(Q) is evaporating fast, and the good thing is that still these lotas are not being accepted by the mainstream rivals. JUI-F has been thoroughly exposed and the regional parties like ANP have disappointed the public. The government of PPP with its team has shown a miserable performance. In their short span of time, there is no sense of urgency and they lack the potential and passion and will to resolve the issues faced by the country. Begging is what they have done.
People were waiting for some brilliantly audacious political moves regarding the crisis faced by the country, but what they have got “pathetic responses” and inadequate “half measures.” The role of PML(N) should be more towards measures and nation wide solidarity, while they must also show their participation in resolving the issues in FATA, Balochistan.
Nation wants action and result and not just yet another bloody APC.

Everybody is clueless and everybody is acting selfishly. Grave thing is that nobody is there to care about country and rise above the vested interests.
A typical PPP hater’s hate infested account of political scene! You could surely write something better Ali
maria
you are right we all are clueless but today our law enforcing agencies got the clues of suicidal bomber who is going to attack on Karachi core commander. So I should ask to terrorist first that why they selected such a devils who are invisible to our agencies when they plan for public areas but foolish devil, sent to creators of war on terror are always caught before hitting the target by our high profile agencies.
Another question I want to ask to our heads of intelligence agencies that bravo you have save the life of a core commander Karachi but why you are always failed to save the life of common men on streets.PC Peshawar is just located near the residence of core commander peshwar but again devils selected public place instead of high profile army officer who is full time contributing in NWFP war games
Mr. Ali Yar Khan why is the country always in mess when PPP is in power?
Ali Asfand is right everything is shown badly when PPP is in power. No doubt PPP-bashing is still on despite the fact that it is the only patriotic, national, federal and masses’ party. All other parties are are purely regional/ ethnic and creations of agencies with narrow agedas. All these parties are headed by leaders(????) who can not even move outside their provincial headquarters.
PPP could have formed Government in all the provinces and the federation very easily. But it chose to include every opinion in broader national Government. Wasn’t it the demand of the nation Mr. Ali Yar Khan? What is itching PML-N now, when it is in control of Punjab and its leaders aquitted by the NAWAZ-YAFTA judiciary?
Well, I must say that our political leadership has grown mature. I must appreciate that PML-N is supporting military offensive, at this crucial juncture in our nation’s history. Otherwise, smaller extremist parties like Imran Khan’s Tehrik-e-Insaf or Jamat-e-Islami are hell bent in their efforts to create doubts about the offensive, which in essence is an ongoing battle for the survival of Pakistan
