Hassan Amin,

Previously the rein of government was in the hands of the military man and although there has been no movement of any sort on the part of civil society to evict the bygone regime except that the man himself realised to quit and he handed over the rein to next bunch on a; say key turn bases.

I do feel that having grabbed the power the present set up may not allow the old man to come back and be part of regime in any capacity.

But no doubt man was brilliant and a down to earth patriot. Even now he does enjoy a privilege to assert his personality and has got a say in western world. I do feel that he must run some Think tank and west will listen to Pakistan’s view through him.

Invariably the future for Pakistan seems very bleak especially next 10-15 years that US will like to stay on to assert her authority to exercise a control on the Middle east as well as Central Asia. China the next super power will like to come down from Himalayas and may occupy part of lands in the south. India will like to stretch toward Middle East. Pakistan is the centre hub and affairs in Pakistan in coming days certainly seem to be very messy.

Having most of the character less people at hand.; that they are always ready to go and sit in enemy laps. We certainly need men of character and down to earth committed patriots and staunch Pakistanis like Musharraf.
