Though Pakistan People’s Party’s only signifant leader in Lahore Jehangir Badar has opposed the candidature of the Hafiz Salman Butt his party is supporting the chap from the Jamat-e-Islami and this is the most strange thing for the Lahoris, as they still remember vividly the bitter and even violent political feud between Hafiz Salman Butt and the PPP within this same city.

The former MNA from Jamat-e-Islami, perhaps the only MNA in decades besides of one or two others, Hafiz Salman Butt is the blue eyed boy of Jamat e Islami. But even he cannot win them this seat from NA-123, which is default seat for the Nawaz Sharif and belongs to anyone he supports.

With an insulting defeat in the NA-55, where the Dr. Kamal only managed to get some 3000 votes, Jamat e Islami is once again set to face yet another ignominious loss in Lahore.
