Hafiz Saeed’s Release ; Timely Decision
By Brig. (r) Junaid Zaman • Jun 4th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 4 CommentsThe Lahore High Court on Tuesday ordered the release of Jamatud Dawa chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed and another leader of the group, Col (retd) Nazir Ahmad, observing that the government had insufficient grounds to detain them. Where this decison has provided another leverage to the Pakistani authorities to control the terrorism in the country, arch-rival India is habitually raising hue and cry.
Hafiz Saeed is no terrorists and he has been involved in charity work since long. Though his Jamat-ud-Dawa was banned because of international pressure, the truth is that there still is no viable proof that he or JuD was involved in the Mumbai attacks. Ajmal Kasab, and the rest of terrorists were operating at their own and mystery still shrouds them. Now as the court has given justice to the Hafiz Saeed, there are lots of benefits which can be accrued from his release.
Polemics and unfounded insinuations cannot advance the cause of justice in civilised societies. Legal processes cannot and must not be interfered with, and that fact must be understood by the Indians, who seem to have little regard for the courts and their decisions, as is evident by the free Nirendra Modi and L. K. Advani.
But Pakistan shouldn’t take much notice of Indian cries and use Hafiz Saeed to convey the message to the extremist religious faction to not to become a toy in the hands of terrorists. Hafiz Saeed has already condemned vehemently the suicide bombings and other acts of terrorism in the country, and now he must be used by government to actually go and talk with the extremists.

Brig,
Do you seriously believe what you have just said.
Do you believe that the guys is not at all linked with it. He openly shouts slogans of killing Indians and cutting it into pieces and all.
Brig at least someone like you who knows what it is should not have put this article.
Brig,
There is a news article in newspapers today in India, which has headlines as “Hindus in Pakistan agree to pay jazia to Taliban; Non-Muslims in the country are paying a price for keeping their faith”.
What do you have to say about this.
Speak free
At this moment there is no difference between Muslims or any other community in our homeland. These savages are killing and kidnapping for ransoms to muslims .So hindus are quite lucky than our Muslim community who are facing death and monetary deaths from them on daily basis. It is not non muslims but majority of Muslims are paying the price of their baseless faith.
TPS please take notice of Comment No.4 & 5 by Mr. Chandoo Lal. He is using very foul language especially in Comment No.5. Please take care and moderate all such anti-Pakistan elements.
