Guide to Save Pakistan from Suicide Bombing

No terrorist group can carry out the attacks for years without the continuous supply of 3F’s; fighters, fighting material and finances. And neither does any country could fight back only with military, law enforcement agencies and secret services without the blunt support of public. And no terrorist group could hide under the curtain of religion when it claims the responsibility of attacks even on mosques. (Only the causalities in mosque rose to 366 with over 900 wounded in this year). But before improving the efficiency to fight back you need to understand some boundary conditions; untouchables, so called holy cows.
You cannot question the money sources either coming from hostile countries or coming from the private accounts of the banks whose account holders always get the privilege of anonymity, not matter what. Neither can you question the international illicit drug trade which is capable to generate the capital in billions and feed this.
You cannot point the finger on illegal international arm deals which are capable to supply from bullets to rocket launchers and much more around the globe to anyone. In these circumstances the conspiracy theories of training mercenaries couldn’t be taken as a myth only.
You are again helpless before the hostile spy agencies, international terror organizations which are resourceful enough to brain wash and train the few to few thousand of any country people for the span of life time on the basis of if and when required.
You cannot complain that your enemy is equipped with much more modern weapons; communication system and much better informed then you.
And last but not the least you cannot challenge the hype or confusion created through the propaganda machinery, the state of the art information system powerful enough to make any fact as myth or otherwise. And the most successful tool of media to keep the condition of doubt or to create diversion when needed. It doesn’t matter you won or lost the thing that count is how that is broadcasted on the media.
But still you can win this war as nobody know the streets and corners of your country better then you do. All the above mentioned untouchables only restrict yourself to fight only in your country and to cut the branches on your soil without doing much harm to the roots. Talking of the branches, you are again lucky that this international system rely very much on the local inductions as it is cheaper this way. But beware of taking the local supply chain as easy target as these kinds of set up couldn’t afford to leave any loose connections.
Now, there is a two prong strategy to fight back. Number one; cut the fresh supplies of 3F’s fighter, fighting material and finances. Number two; search and destroy the existing 3F’s and if you couldn’t quarantine them.
Cutting the fresh supplies will only show their results after few months to year depending on the quantity of the local resources present in their stores. Now, let us take each F separately starting from Fighters. The potential supply for fresh fighters could be from inland including orphan houses, madrassahs, far off rural areas, small communities in deserts, and the tribes in mountain. The supply could also be from outside which includes the native living in outside countries which might have been kept there as a backup. As a last resource the fresh supplies could also be taken from the mercenaries of the alien lands.
In order to cut this fresh supply of fighter, you need to search their position and to kill the motivation to become potential for this. The Mullah, religious peer, scholars, writers, politicians, students; all could take part in killing the motivation for becoming potential for suicide bomber or terrorists.
The fresh supply of fighting material could be truncated by enhanced patrolling at the border and vigilance of local producers of the explosives.
The supply of finances could be restrained by control on money flow from outside by keeping eye on money transfer agencies, smuggling of currency and its exchange in local market. The money earned through crimes like drug trade, other illegal activities like kidnapping for ransom and looting banks etc. The point kept in mind should be to separate the local criminals from the traitors to soil. It would be real fine if the support of former could be attained against the later. The strong check on money collected for welfare activities would also help this purpose.
Up till now it was debate on cutting the fresh blood whose benefits would only be achieved in future. And in that strategy the role of government and law enforcement agencies was active and public was a mere supporter. But to take care of present situation, the role is to be reversed. I will explain how by discussing each F separately.
Starting with the fighters, these are the person taken from our society, are the sons, brothers, fathers, friends and neighbors. We couldn’t afford to live in the state of denial anymore. (But we can die in denial off course). Yes, it could be that we don’t know about their illicit activities or might not have cared but the fact is that they have gone from our localities.
It’s a time we need to recount the eggs in our basket. Look how many got rotten. Remember the activities of member of our locality in the last couple of years. Open our eyes to the neighborhood. It might be that there could be ties of various types in past but we need to understand that there comes the time where one had to undermine and sacrifice the social ties for the sake of country men, for the sake of thousands of brothers, sisters, children and fathers who were innocent when died at the hands of these brutal blasts.
It’s time to look in our homes, localities and cities again to find these fighters. Who themselves are nothing but misguided, ignorant and brain washed at the hands of cunning. We need to look for their bosses who would also be living on our soil and could also be possible that wearing the clothes and having the status equal to Lawrence of Arabia. No person should go without scrutiny, which is not possible through any eye except by the people themselves.
In all this practice, we shouldn’t forget the basics that we need to hate the disease and not the patient. We need to convey our message to them that we are not against them and would be ever ready to accept them back if they repent and come back. We had to give them a roam and a way to return instead of pushing them against the wall. And we also need to think again that whether they are doing this only for lust, by effect of brain wash or they are under the effect of some big threats by stronger ones, the threat to their families or dear ones. It might be that their families would be kept as hostage to force them to do these inhumane activities.
Second F, these fighters are not magicians who can produce the explosive whenever they want and at whatever place. They buy that, store somewhere and transport that to blasting place. They all do this while living among us and it’s really hard to believe that this handful of terrorist could evade the eye of 170 million.
Third F, even if they have managed to collect lot of money they need to spend it to buy the logistics. To buy the communication devices, transporting vehicles, food, information and number of fake documents like number plates, ID’s etc. Couldn’t we stop them to buy our lives, the lives of our dear ones by not giving them way over for the sake of bribe of few thousands or few hundred thousand?
We need to understand that if we didn’t take the preventive measures by now then it’s not that far that this fire of terrorism will engulf our houses like it is doing in our neighborhood. At this point please allow me to ask you few questions? How many times did you kept your eyes intentionally open for terrorists or suspicious activities around your homes, in your markets, mosques and hospitals? How many times, did you noticed suspected vehicles, persons on your way home and walked quickly to save yourself? How many times you ignored these things and didn’t pass to law enforcement agencies to save you from the strange questions of police. How many times you denied to accept the bribe to small things which could form the link to big terrorist activity. How many times…….? And all this criminal negligence, when we are facing blast every second day.
How many, more lives shall our mothers give to make us realize that we need to fight back? How many, more brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, husbands, wives, children, friends relatives shall sacrifice their lives to open our eyes. How many, more soldiers, policeman, security guards? How many more doctors, lawyers, engineers, shop owners, drivers? How many more hands, legs, arms, flying limbs of our dear ones who faced these blasts? How many more…?
We couldn’t stop these suicidal blasts in present situation unless we the people of Pakistan take the primary role in this deadly war which is imposed on us and ask the law enforcement agencies and army to stay on our back instead of fighting other way round as we are doing it today. We need the spirit of 1965 when we ran from our safe homes in Lahore, Gujarat, and Gujranwala, along Kashmir and along border of Sindh to fight shoulder to shoulder with our soldiers. There were no weapons in their hand but sticks and kitchen knives.
The commodities didn’t remain private anymore, the right of those, who were fighting at fronts became prime. Even the criminals stand united to support the civilian in defending their country. Writers, singers, artists, labors, politicians all were standing not before but with their army, shoulder to shoulder.
I was about to submit this article on the site when I have seen the news that there are two more blast in Lahore. I wonder what happened to my Lahore and Zinda dilan e Lahore. The Lahoris whom I know were not in their homes rather standing in the fields near to Wahga to maintain the supply chain of food, blood and logistics in 1965. And it’s my belief that if they come to protect their city then no body could even touch their houses rather thinking of attack. It’s similar with my thought of Peshawar and other cities. I hope and pray that we stand to this challenge which is now imposed on us.

The theme of cutting 3Fs is known to all security managers but no collective effort has been planned to counter such deadly situation.
Again I repeat my stance that don’t force people for constrained sacrifices and coerced cooperation and should try to wind up this deadly game which is crossing the all limits of humanity.
We are no more in position to absorb the foxy love affairs of corrupt people.

Nobody denied that there were creations in the past by our Government. The question is are they still under the control of Government?

I also want to write something on that event after these 2 bomb blast. But you did it earlier.
I think that now a days more important in my view is to consider it our war and take seriously. e.g
- Recent days i listen that there is some meeting of Core Commanders is going on and when they release the press release then it all about the Carry Logar Bill. So, i am assumming that army is not taking his original task against militant. (Kepp in mind when army has done the proper operation at swat then suiside attack has almost stopped)
- If i talked with any of my collegue then he linked these incident by the inceration of America in Afghnaistan or attack of Army on Waziristan. He trying to convence me that this is happening due to our OWN FAULT. ?? This concept of every common person is totally misunderstoodable to me and i dont know what logic i have to give to convence them.
So, we cannot win this war unless we relize that who is our enemy. I hope you will answer it properlly.

What the hell our own fault. How many of them, who died in yesterday attack, do you think, had anything to do with Afghanistan issue or attack on Waziristan.

We are giving our lives to save our future and this time this terrorism phenomena would show its peak for last time .It would be last nail in the coffin of militarism and that is the reason we are paying heavy price of our wrong doings.

give a simple genuine and authentic proof of involvement of enemies or neighboring country and then have courage to present it in front of world.The statement of rehman malik is nothing more than beating a drum on inattentive an unattractive issues.In one side he is transferring wanted terrorists to India and Iran from Pakistan’s jails with complete paper work but in home ground internal target is nothing more then producing fake and weak evidences and just rhetoric official statements. worth less in international forum.
Even no statement of President, PM, or defense minster has come for his verbal support.Have you ever heard that COAS showed any aggressive statement against his typical rival when GHQ was attacked .
Just few days back a suicidal attack was made on Somalian ministers and killed all three with other 18 victims.With in 3 days the COAS and police chief were immediately fired,I think our level of security concern has fallen below than country like Somalia where after deadly blasts and dozens of killing no state authority is here to take the responsibility of citizens’ protection.
Other govt and foreign offices know his background as tout of CIA and sent here to accomplish missions of war on terror. so nobody is bothering to listen him.
I dont know what should be right ,accurate and immediate act to stop this wave of bloody terrorism but our army should be called back and kick out alll all Americans marines who are roaming in our streets without any fear.

1. People of Pakistan has nothing to do with these drones, rather they protested many times against these attacks on our soil. If govt allowed these attacks secretly, then the victims of drones should come and file suite in court of law, or come to press with statistics of innocent casualities, or come to people of Pakistan and we will stand with them, rather every justice lover person of the world will stand with them to support their cause.
And if they want to take revenge on their own, of innocent casualities, (though state within state is not allowed in islam) then they should fight back the drones, or to them who are sending these or those who are granting permission.
Whats the logic to attack on the innocent people of pak, attack on mosques. (Statement of Allama Tahir Ul Qadri). They are attacking us as we are their enemy. Are we?
2.What is action and what is reaction, again debatable issue, army claims the operation as reaction to suicide bombing. Even if it is action, army had allowed and had given time to vocate the localities before operation and many people did vocated houses. If they are so innocent, then why didn’t they came along with other IDP’s and why prefered to fight back.
And what army wanted in this operation was to restore writ of govt, to take back illegal weaponery and to capture foreign terrorists if there are any. So whats wrong with that? And again if they have to take revenge then fight army, why attacking in Lahore and Pindi? It doesn’t make any sense to me, is it to you?
3. Whoever is involved in attacks, either local war lords, terrorists, or foreign elements should be crushed. One thing more, irrespective of the fact who is the brain or master mind, the hands are locals. The infrastructure exist locally which form the body of network. And all I am asking is to stop these hands, crush this bodies and mind will exist no more.
Taliban image? What the hell Taliban want from us? We are muslims ALHAMDOLILA but if we have problems in our system we will mend it ourselves by our scholars and not by semi-literate Talibans.
And secondly I haven’t accused anybody in this debate (and I guess we shouldn’t) rather used the term fighter, so whosoever is attacker, we will fight him.

One thing is sure that whoever is attacking is equipped with 3F’s (Fighter, Fighting material and Finance). If it is local, foreigner or with support of foreign hand doesn’t reverse our claim to fight back.
I really don’t believe in big statements, rather action should be the stratagy.

Well, summing up all the points whatever the past, it’s time for us to unite and try developing a strategy to curb these bloody elements from our society. Discussion is fine but what the time stipulates is “immediate improvement of our aptitudes” to counteract resolutely and this is something desired by Engr. Shahzad’s article. “The situation is so, it can’t be otherwise”…We can’t escape it!
We should not solely rely on participating in discussions about who’s to blame and why but rather consider thinking about future to turn it normal, if not bright.

Thanks for the good replies. But I want to ask more that do you not feel our army is not doing proper operation against Taliban which enable them to hit the other cities. Taliban location is known and whose intentions are clear then why army is not attack them with full power and nipping in their butt instead of their intellectual input on Karry Logar Bill.

Your point 1 is invalid as drone was allowed to take off and land Pakistani soil by the personal decision of Musharraf(latest ref is coming from the statement of Gen shahid aziz ).These drones attacked on people of Pakistan and extreme loathing attitude on the movement of drone is being shown by all classes of our society but our army is completely ignoring people’s sentiment for their personal goals and that is why they are continuing their mission.These wave of terrorism might be generated by US war support groups to create diversion of such issues.
Drone victims are tribal people and unaware of legal system of Pakistan and who will prosecute their case when your army is it self busy in severe combat mission in their soil and on their large population.How much atrocities were made in swat attack would slowly come in front of people where indiscriminate air raids, mortar shells were done on settled areas.

Well, my article was my opinion and suggestion and not compulsive as it is no way binding on anybody. Its fine that you rectify me, add to my information but what is this “giving tough time”. Its not a war. Rather its a scientific way of learning. One writes and other comments on it, until it refines and become acceptable to everybody. All the modern science evolved like that.
I didn’t defended Musharraf or military, the only party I am defending is people of Pakistan. What good it bring if 10 innocent killed as result of drones and 20 innocent as a result of reaction to drones?
As you said judiciary is independent, every sufferer should go to court and we all will support it. And help them where needed
If you think that there are elements who want to bring military again in direct power, and doing all this to attain that purpose. Then we all are against these elements. And as we are against these elements, we are also against their agents who are doing this bombing. The core point, which I am trying to make is fight the body or brain and finish one you will finish another automatically.
