Khokar,

What about Kargil? You have not said anything about it till now.

Would like to read that part as well.

Also good assumption or thought or whatever of India would like to slice Pakistan and take Punjab and Sindh. Why would India do that? It will be a big problem for them, as these people will not accept India and would harm her.

Lahore Attck--ISI HQ was the Main Target

Those investigating the assault say the attack was a hybrid operation, consisting of an armed attack by four gunmen and subsequent detonation of a car bomb. The terrorists accompanying the suicide bomber apparently wanted to penetrate the well-protected ISI

building. At least, four men with rifles first stepped out of the car and opened fire on security guards deployed outside the agency building. As the security personnel offered tough resistance by returning the fire, the attackers threw a hand grenade to pave the way for the car bomber to enter the ISI building.

As the firing intensified, the car bomber suddenly changed his direction and rammed his vehicle into the Rescue 15 office hardly a few yards away. Investigators say at least 100 kilograms of C4 explosives might have been used to carry out the deadly attack.

While the ISPR spokesman declined to speak on the martyrdom of a serving colonel in Wednesday’s attack, a senior interior ministry official confirmed on condition of anonymity that Lt-Col Mohammad Amir, a senior ISI official, was the victim of Wednesday’s attack.

An Army source in Lahore confirmed the death of Lt-Col Amir, adding his funeral prayers were offered at the Ayub stadium in Lahore on Wednesday night. He added another senior ISI official, Col Zulfiqar, also received injuries in the suicide attack and was in critical condition.

Those investigating Wednesday’s assault have firm view that it was a well-coordinated operation carried out jointly by the Punjabi Taliban belonging to the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) and the Pashtun Taliban associated with the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The two proscribed sectarian and Jihadi organisations have already been found involved in several other terrorist attacks in various parts of Punjab, ranging from the September 20, 2008 Marriott suicide bombing in Islamabad to the March 30, 2009 Fidayeen-style attack on the Manawan police training academy in Lahore.

Investigators say there are clear indications that like many earlier incidents of suicide bombings in the Punjab, Wednesday’s assault might have also been planned jointly by Qari Hussain Mehsud, a close associate of the FBI’s most wanted TTP Amir Baitullah Mehsud, and Qari Mohammad Zafar, currently the chief operational commander of the LeJ.

Al-Qaeda-linked Qari Hussain, who is also known as “Ustad-e-Fidayeen” or the teacher of suicide bombers, is considered to be a specialist in indoctrinating teenagers to carry out suicide attacks in the name of Islam. He is believed to have become the main ideologue of the Taliban working under Baitullah Mehsud’s command. Qari Hussain is well-known in the TTP ranks for his strong anti-Shia views and his close ties with the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ). The agencies are trying to hunt him down since long given his status as the one who may have recruited and indoctrinated the largest number of people to carry out suicide attacks in the country.

Speak Free,

# 22
All the pundits forecasting the future of this region say that China and India are the regional super power of the future where as Russian would like to keep onroaring from Moscow while keeping the Europe confined to its borders on the other side and showing keenness in asserting its authority and its presence only. The big brother USA, who has travelled all the way from across the seven seas on his excursion has the aim to:

•To restrict Russia that it confines in its cocoon.
•US may not be able to hamper the progress of India or China that they are making but certainly will do all that their access to mineral resources in Middle East and Central Asia remain in his control. For which US has already selected Afghanistan as their control hub, an anchorage (which it is busy transforming it) and will like to throw Pakistan as buffering country between herself and India and China which must have emerged as regional powers by then.
•China is busy investing a lot in Pakistan for a purpose that before this that US is able to establish herself well in Afghanistan; China in order to have an access to Middle east and Iran should have secured and consolidate its positions well in Pakistan.
•India would like to stay where it is but would do enough to break Pakistan in thinner slice to attain a shorter strip from north to south of buffer (i.e only Punjab and Sind only) between US future enclaves and herself.

While this all is going on, China will have to come in physically in side Pakistan to secure its corridor connecting the Arabian sea at Gwader port through Baluchistan, Frontier and on the silk route to China.

Pakistan is the future Battle field of the world. A target country of:
     • USA to make it depleted and leave/ reduce it mere buffer zone .
     • India to cut it to size and have just strip of a buffer zone.
     • China to move in physically to have its energy resources route secure.

On kargil some next time.

Nazia,

#4

I think last time while discussing under the article captioned as Indian fighting in Swaat – (Photos). I think it was amply made clear that possibly we may not indulge in any kind of filth slinging practices against one another and especially against the sacred institutions of our beloved country Pakistan like Pak Army.

It is reiterated that in the higher interest of our country we should not bring up our personal grudges and stick them on to the Armed forces conduct.

I am also surprised that you do not know that Pak Army is conducting this operation not on its own by on the orders of our government that they have been called upon to do so.
I think that people deputed on the job; who decide when to call the Army for her action carry a bigger brain to decide; whether or not displacement of the people should have been under taken or not.
IDPs are there so we the people on the street should do in our humble capacity to help IDP as well as the government; whatever we can to overcome the difficulties that they face.

You may not like it but our armed personals are the saviour of this nation and it’s integrity. They need our humble prayers. They are at war against the traitors of this nation; who for their personal reasons (for money fame or simply point scoring) have fallen in the laps of our enemy and do not hesitate to harm the interest of Pakistan.

Lets single out all the hypocrites present among us. Carry out unequivocal naming and shaming of the culprits and must condemn their act of treachery.

Khokar,

One thing I could not understand from your comments is, why would China become enemy of Pakistan? It is your all weather friend, they have helped you with everything by terms of money, business, weapons, nuke, and what not.

They have always supported you in the UN as well. They have stood by you in thick and thin and still you say that China will attack Pakistan?

Also on the point related India, you said that it will not leave a single opportunity to attack Pakistan. Your army has moved people from eastern front so that they can put more people to tackle Taliban. India has maintained the same number of people as before, so the benefit is with India but still they have not tried to move a inch towards Pakistan border. Why? Also if you remember (if you haven't lost your memory due to old age) your ex President Musharraf attacked India even when we were extending a hand of friendship and our then Prime Minister traveled all the way to Pakistan for the same. The army general attacked India in Kargil region.

So who is opportunist India or Pakistan? Answer this for everybody's information (of course if you can do that).
