Good Decision Mr Prime Minister
By Farid Masood • Mar 11th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 5 CommentsPrime Minister Mr Yousaf Raza Gilani has offered PML(N) to sit and talk to resolve the political crises and the basis for the talks would be Charter of Democracy (COD).
It is a good gesture applauded countrywide. Management of PML(N) generally have regards for the personality Mr Prime Minister has. But in my view this gesture from the Prime Minister is a bit late keeping in view the events happened after February 18th 2008. Now only this offer may not work until unless well supported by actions. The most action to support his offer can be an Executive Order to re-instate Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry as Chief Justice of Pakistan and ask the President to send Mr Dogar on leaves with early retirement and to acknowledge his services deploy him other than the post of as Chief Election Commissioner.
This action shall sure to defuse all tension b/w the leading parties and this shall stop ‘Long March’ which may not be stopped by arresting lawyers & their leadership, leaders & workers of political parties.
This action will force agitating parties to come on the table and then the matter of 18th Amendment, 58-2B and other issues can be settled.
Mr Prime Minister must also suggest the President that if he wants re-conciliation with PML(N) and Lawyers please withdraw Moulana Fazl-ur-Rehman from the scene completely.
Furthermore, the nomination of Farooq H Naik as Chairman Senate and resignation of Mr Raza Rabbani is going to be another big issues within you party Sir.
Mr Prime Minister only words may not defuse current charged situation.

Instead of
“Good Decision Mr Prime Minister”
After creating mess and chaos ,there is no place left for good discussions.PPP should first clean this mess and then it will be in position of good table talks.Dirty politics was initiated in peaceful culture of Punjab,lota auction is announced there and MPAs are in action for their high prices,12 terrorist created havoc in lahore, disappeared and instead of tracing them whole system is being paralyzed to halt the lawyer’s movement.So what can one accept good in this situation.Zardari is in no mood of giving up and showing his incompetency in all fields of management that was his true identification in past
