Going Back to the Back of Camel

As the various parameters are affecting the economy the major ones are un-stable currency value and the petroleum prices. Once the crude oil went above USD 147 per barrel the government got a plea to raise the petroleum prices in Pakistan. This also had affected CNG prices (which is totally local product) also.

All means of transportations available now are run with petrol /diesel. By the increase in CNG consumption and decrease in Petrol requirements the more selling product is diesel. Busses, trucks, power houses, trains etc use diesel as fuel, so consumption of petrol has reduced. Government has taken a plea that declining value of rupee is putting pressure on petroleum products prices.

Once the price of a item raised in Pakistan, it had never brought down by the government. This is evident by the action last night to reduce petrol by Rs 5 per liter and increase diesel and kerosene oil by Rs 3.5 per liter. This shift of price will earn more for the government and shall put further pressure on nation. Public transport operators shall increase fares soon. Eid-ul-Fitr is coming when every one has to travel to his/her home town to celebrate eid holidays, so they have to pay more to reach their homes and to return. So this decision will earn a lot of money to government. This is how government is not wasting any occasion of earning.

I think we have to go back to the back of the camels as they don’t run by diesel or petrol. Government may announce 30 days leave on this Eid so that people on the back of camels may reach their home towns and return to their workplaces. Poor people must also look into using solar cookers rather than kerosene stoves.

  1. Even camels need something to eat. What are you going to feed them? Even pure water is getting scarce.

  2. :)

Camel needs water once a week, we may modify its genetics so that he needs water once a year

    hahahaha

  3. Government going to raise the price per liter of diesel before Eid/ on Eid making life of passengers more difficult.

  4. Yaar, you are still planning to ride your camel. What a shame you procrastinated too long, had you just hopped on September 20, when the idea first came in your mind, you would be there by now. By the way, which village it’s that has the honour of producing a genius like yourself ? Oh, just by the way, while modifying the genetics of your personal camel to cut down its needs for food; please get yours modified too. It might help improve your sense of humor.

    Great day!

  6. Farid Masood, thank you. I am impressed to note that you read a little more than what you write. I did read what you referred and thought of you, because it seems a source of ‘enhancement’ for your level of ‘intelligence’. Anyways, thanks still.

    Nice evening!
