Give Zardari a Chance

By Gul Raiz • Sep 3rd, 2008 • Category: Politics • 2 Comments

The efforts to strengthen and consolidate the democracy only got momentum after the peaceful departure of General (r) Pervez Musharraf. The very reason that there was no bloodshed involved in the bid to remove Musharraf and also there was no harm rendered to Musharraf is suffice to convince all and sundry about the eligibility of Asif Ali Zardari to become the next President of Pakistan.

From the famous moment of “Pakistan Khapay” to his askance for  excuse from PML (N) about the unfulfilled agreements the man has shown sagacity, judgment and the capacity to take pressure and to prioritize his responsibilities. PML-N would be satisfied only if Iftikhar Chaudhary was restored, Dogar was humiliated and Musharraf was hanged and that would mean total choas and rumpus in the country.

Pakistan needs stability right now more than anything else. Just two months are left  before the country gets bankrupt. Investors with their money and assets are fleeing towards Dubai and Kuwait.  Foriegn investors are an alien things, even the foreign players from rogue countries like South Africa are unwilling to come to Pakistan to play cricket. Pakistani markets have lost the confidence of domestic and foreign buyers. Productions units are closing one by one and there is no respite in the offing. All that is happening due to the uncertainty and instability.

Only and only, Zardari can bring that stability because of all the powers and support he enjoys across Pakistan and beyond.

  1. Dear Gul Riaz:

You said, “Just two months are left before the country gets bankrupt. Investors with their money and assets are fleeing towards Dubai and Kuwait.”

Can you please elaborate this line. Because as a student of economics, I am unable to understand that how you can give accurate figure that country is getting bankrupt. Please tell us in detail or stop writing on base less figures. Country is not gona idle in next 2 months. We have constant exports, constant foreign currency inflow from expatriates and also aids are coming.

If you don’t have command on one subject then refrain from writing on that. If writing then must tell us in detail. Tell me names of those investors, who are flying toward Dubai and Kuwait, so I may know about them also. You considers stock exchange investors as long term investors? If it is so then I am flying my investment from Kuwait and Dubai to Pakistan. Should the writers of Duabi and Kuwait start writing that Saleem is taking money from here to Pakistan?

Try to write accurately and fairly. Don’t be biased in writings. I normally not writes on politics because I know that I can not write good on them. Same, if you can not do justice then stop writing stupid articles. We are already sick of these praises. Some time Musharraf, other day Nawaz, other day Zardari.

What is your contribution except criticism on few people and praising the rest? If you are serious then do some thing practically. go out of home and help poor. Why you are looking Zardari… a proved corrupt man (NRO). If you want to change system then come out yourself. Like we are trying to do in present scenario. I have lost all types of hopes from these rulers. they are made for politics and they can grow politics only. Look, how many people are hungry…think about them and do best for them.

Don’t make us tense, tense and tense.

  2. Rightly said Saleem. The statements are simply baseless and should be outrightly rejected. You got something concrete then you need back it up with some facts. Our country needs hope and I don’t think politicians are the ones we should be look towards in this situation. It’s us the literates in this society to stand up !!!

    Pakistan Zindabad !!!!
