Girls Mobile Numbers Selling Openly in Lahore

Though most of the girls in Pakistan buy their mobile sims in the name of their male kins, even then they receive obnoxius calls and dirty text messages and even filthy MMS.
Girl often become surprised and shocked when out of blue they receive such dirty calls from the boys and men. Girls think that they had bought the sims through their brothers or fathers and the sims has been purchased in their name and they won’t be contacted by unknown males. But that proves a pipedream very soon.
I was in Lahore last week and I came to know that it became a pastime or even a business at some of the easy load shops or at other joints to buy or sell the numbers of girls. Local Lahore number girl sells at the premium price and then there are diamond numbers of those girls who talk at length and then there is a top secret number where girls talk dirty. Then there are numbers of college girls of Lahore or even school girls. This trend is so open and nobody has a check on this trend.
Nobody even noticing this alarming trend let alone doing something to curb it.

I dont understand how perverts come to know that a brother/father registered sim is that of a girl??!!
There needs to be regulation as to what shops can sell sims and I think there should be a facility where you can report a number that is harrassing you to the Police/Network and further action can be taken (block that number etc) >>>> but as Amna points out, nobody bothers about it.
Parents / elders seem to play an absent role in this matter. It’s their job to supervise phone usage. This technology is very useful but it can very abused too.
The girls that do this should learn to respect themselves rather than make a pervert happy.
Finally, for those decent, genuine girls out there:
On some phones you can add a number who is calling/texting (basically harrassing you) onto a block list. Check your call settings and go onto ‘manage calls’ or something similiar (nokia phones dont have this option. A good Samsung, Sony Ericcson does so buy one/exchange yours with you brother/father and set this up.
