Gilani Goes Zardari
By Ali Yar Khan • Jan 29th, 2010 • Category: Politics • 2 CommentsThe short order and the detailed judgement of the Supreme Court has at least done one favor to the political horizon of Pakistan. It has told all of who care where the premier Yousuf Raza Gilani stands. Those who were speculating about rifts between President and the Prime Minister should know better now.
The columnists and the anchorspersons of GEO and Jang were hoping that the premier would stand against Zardari and minus-one formula will prevail. They must be disappointed now as premier has also cast shadows and objections upon the verdict of supreme court and reciting the tagline of the presidency about the immunity to the president office.
The thing is that there is no doubt that the president has got the exemption according to the constitution. But what if he is convicted for something he committed before becoming president? or what are the ethical implications? or what about the accountability?
If President only gives answer to the question of many journalists as from where exactly the $60 million have come w.r.t to those notorius Swiss accounts.

Gilani’s ostensible behavior is reflective of the ineptitude of his government. His noble intentions remain hidden behind the ills of his master, whose crook and intellectually bankrupt mindset is witnessed every day.
Pillars of power like theirs have always vanished in history nameless and shameless.
Why should one wonder for their exception ?
And the exceptions are inclusive of the ” Shahids” and “Masoods” ?
