Saeeda Warsi visited Pakistan, and this has been the big news since July 16 that the chairperson of Conservative party who is Pakistani by origin has visited Pakistan met some top people and visited many places including her hometown. I think it will be better if I say the hometown of her Father. Anyways, this trip was expected ever since she got success in the recent British Elections. She got a Heroine welcome wherever she visited specially at her hometown.

We Pakistani people are very hospitable and we are known for this quality. We forget everything when it comes to treat and greet the guests even at times we forget the rivalries and enmity just to keep the color of this quality alive. Same has been practiced when the daughter of Pakistan who happen to be one of the top personalities of the British politics was here and traveling through different areas of the countries.

She deserved it, and I think every guest deserves respect and honor on the other side it becomes our duty to behave well and act sensibly. I have no problem with her visiting here, becoming big news for the media, giving interviews, and featuring morning shows along with other regular political TV shows. Trust me I have no problem with this all as whatever I do whatever I think I find problem and issues at our end.

It is great to be hospitable but to me the purity of this attitude can only be attained when it has a flavor of selfless effort. Unfortunately, at few points, this factor was lacking or it is only I who think in this way. I do not know why all the times we attach mountain high hopes with the people and then regret when none of them reaches to the point that is known as accomplishment. Same thing happened this time; the statement of Saeeda Warsi is enough to scream what I am thinking right now. Her statement about the Kashmir Issue and Pakistan’s Issues with India shows that what we were expecting out of this trip.

It is clear that the world around us will never help us on this issue, and specially those countries on which we rely on more then what they deserve. The statement of Saeeda clearly says that the resolution of these issues is not in their hands there is someone else who has it. When I think about that someone, the next thing pops in my mind up is the probability that the person who has this capacity to do something is unaware of the powers.

Why we always want other to come in and resolve our issues, and why do not we try at our end. It is our problem then it must be solved by us not by anyone else. Because unless it’s not our issue we give it a damn that’s what human nature, therefore I believe that we have to think about this whole scenario in a sensible manner and stop complaining and looking at others to come and solve our issues.

The problem with our policy-making is that most of the times we do not know that what exactly we want to have. That is what with our stand on Kashmir issue we have not decided that where to stand and how to take up this issue, our case and our demands are not properly being glossed. For last many years we are confused about what actually we want to have and unless we are not clear about our stance it will useless to expect other to move as we expect them to.

Any ways it was nice to have you hare Ma’am Warsi and hope you enjoyed your visit here and I even hope that you would like to visit here again. In addition, I want to thank you for the reality check that you brought, from UK with Love, for the confused and nervous Government and its officials.

  1. I am proud of her.

  2. A good example of that a Pakistani is a secular person with a lot of tolerance. She is surely a role model to the other people and we should try to bring these elements into our society for a better future.

  3. I agree with Rai Azlan.Saeeda Warsi is a British MP although have family roots in Pakistan.Khalid Mahmood is also a British MP,someone asked him about some issues related to Pakistan in my presence. He replied that,” I am British.I am selected by British people and I am representing to them and working for them.I am not Pakistani.” I was very much surprised to listen his reply. He also visited many times Pakistan and was welcomed and hosted by Pakistani media, people and government officials. As being a British MP,they have to fullfil their responsibilities and at public places they are not honored as they are in Lahore and Pakistan. Therefore, they used to visit Pakistan for entertainment and to get protocol. There were many MPs of Pakistani origin in the previous government including some Ministers. But what they did for Pakistan or for Pakistanis?Did they speak at any time in the parliament in favour of Pakistan? No,never.Or did they help any ordinary Pakistani? Not except Nawaz shareef&shehbaz shareef because they were expected rulers of the future.
Instead some of MPs including Khalid Mahmood,Muhammad Sarwar etc were involved in humiliation, abuse and blackmailing of some innocent Pakistanis only because of their jealousy and cheapness. They could destroy their career but they did not take action against these MPs because of current situation of Muslim world and Pakistan to protect Muslims and Pakistani community.
These people although MPs but do not deserve any kind of warm welcome and respect.
