Foreign Policies’ Impacts
By Farid Masood • Dec 19th, 2008 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look • 3 CommentsForeign policies always do have a direct impact on internal affairs. Weaker foreign postures strain interior atmosphere. History tells us time gap (successful) foreign policies made much damage to interior issues of every country. When it comes to safeguard interests of others due to external pressure own interests become hard to safeguard. Sometime, it may loose integrity of a nation and this situation becomes disastrous for the security, safety, prosperity, morality and progress of a piece of land named a country. In recent past, aggressive actions of intelligence services (anywhere in the world) proved disastrous for one country (target) but aftermath could not be avoided, neither by the designers not the executors. Such assumptions made sons of a father enemy of each other.
Talking about the homeland, In new agenda, to fuel deterioration of law and order situation within Pakistan, United Nations Security Council put ban on some organization like Laskar-e-Taiba, Jamat-ud-Dawa etc.
Post earth-quake days (in 2005) many of Pakistanis and foreigners (came to help out earth-quake victims) witnessed humane works to humanity by these and other organization. Al-Rasheed Trust was also one of them.
A few days back, I had to arrange an ambulance for my neighbor (who has to go to hospital due to broken leg), that proper ambulance came was from Ambulance Service of Jamat-ud-Dawa.
Its media time, western media is the most lethal weapon being used to reap desired results world over, the same Indian media is doing in the war to be the 1st in breaking news.
All this scenario must be looked into with proper attention. We have been an agent against our interests. We have earned ‘a lot’ in ‘Afghan Jihad’ but we are now paying back many times than that. Its Time to re-re-re-think our current and future policies. For example, now we have termed ‘heroes’ of Afghan Jihad as ‘terrorists’. Its good for Pakistan that cream of designers of ‘Afghan Jihad’ died in plane crash on August 17, 1988 otherwise we have to handover all of them to USA or India now must have added in current list of 20.
Coming back to the theme of this post. We need to re-re-re-think what we are doing now and what would be required in the future. For example we now clean-up all ‘terrorists’ from FATA, Waziristan etc and all Talibans die in Afghanistan, what would be the demand by US of A in year 2009, 2010 or 2020 or onwards, have we figured that out? Or India keeping terrorist organizations like Bujrung Dil , Shiv Sena, RSS etc inside her may get help from their notorious expertise in near future? If we are attacked will we go and wait for Security Council resolutions? Will we remain saying that air space intruders are ‘permitted’ or ‘doing technical mistakes’. If proves of Mumbai event comes from inside India will we remain silent as we were in case of Samjhota Express Blasts, or we will go the United Nations to ask it to put ban of RAW?
Our technical mistakes started from 1947 when we remained silent on Indian State Terrorism when thousands of innocent migrants (old ones, ladies and childern) to Pakistan were killed brutally.

Farid,
Little history lesson is needed here.
First in 1947 not only people migrating to Pakistan but people migrating to India were also killed.
Now regarding what you are talking about Shiv Sena as a terrorist organisation, it is a political party just like any of your own. the ambulance thing that you said above Shiv Sena also does the same thing for people at large over here. During the 1993 blasts and riots they were the only people who were on streets to protect people at large be it a Muslim or Hindu, be it a poor or a rich person, they all were protected by these guys while police force was trying to arrest the people behind the scene.
So you need to know the real story behind each and everything before saying something.
Suggestion go to http://en.wikipedia.org and search on migration of people in 1947 partition and you will all the details.
Mr Farid,
Why the hell you are creating hateness among the pakistani by writting all non-senses..If you dont know the fact then sit quit..You want to ban RAW..then you should first go to UN and ask them to ban CIA or MI6…cause RAW is same in India as above agencies…and We all have empathy for pakistani brothers..we dont want war as we want to grow economically..we want to compete with China in terms of economy..Our PM Mr Singh has a plan to make India a developed nation by 2025..so we want all of out neighbours support..But everytime directly or indirectly your nation is creating some problem..Lets have good things to privilege and make south east asia as successful as EU….
Thanks

if all you have written as true intentions of your leadership then stop blaming Pakistan independently or being a tool of others. India should stop acting like immature country. Our great leader killed one year ago and we cannot have proofs till now, how India had the proves within 24 hours of Mumbai actions? be sensible and be practical. Indian nation is being hi-jacked by your politicians…!
