In Niemöller’s first utterance of it, in a January 6, 1946 speech before representatives of the Confessing Church in Frankfurt. The poem is re-written for today’s Pakistan.

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the Hindus and Sikhs, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Hindu or Sikh;
Then they came for the Ahmadis, and I did not speak out—because I was not an Ahmadi;
Then they came for the Christians, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Christian;
Then they came for the Shias, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Shia;
Then they came for the Human Rights Activists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Human Rights Activist;
Then they came for the women, and I did not speak out—because I was not a woman
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak out

What is your objection you Sunni terrorist bigot? May Allah cause your own family to die like you killed Ahmadis so you get some consciences. Some people only learn the hard way.

YES Dr Abdul Salam was a Punjabi Sunni Muslim before he was declared Ahmedi non-Muslim by Bhutto government. Dr Salal is the only Muslim scientist to get Nobel prize in physics
Dr Salam was never sunni terrorist follower he was a born Ahmadi Muslim and he was an EXCEPTION. How many more Punjabis can you cite like him? Exception does not change rule.
Why do people always target Ahmedis in propaganda, surely other minorities are also under attack. Extremists get disturbed when anyone talks about human rights in Pakistan. We need to uphold the equal rights of all Pakistani citizens whether man woman Ahmedi Muslim Christian or Hindu.

Dil Nawaz, I like how you changed Niemöller’s poem to make it relatable to Pakistans contemporary woes.
What’s unfortunate is the commentary left by readers … Its a pity and a crude irony that folks just don’t get it … This isn’t the most appropriate time to accentuate the obvious socio-religio-economic fault lines of the pakistani national terrain …
