As Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is trying to accumulate numbers in the parliament to get it’s constitutional package through without PML-N, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam chief Fazlur Rehman has already started blackmailing PPP.

He is asking for a heavy share in the cabinet with lucrative ministries. As PML-N’s Khawaja Asif has left the ministry of Petroleum, Fazlur Rehman is eying the ministry for himself. He has already tasted the oily diesel permits in the Benazir’s era, and now he wants to eat the full cake.

In case PPP doesn’t manage to give Fazlur Rehman, the ministry of Petroleum then he wants the good old foreign-tour rich post of chairman of Kashmir committee.

enator Rahmatullah Kakar, Attaur Rehman and Maulana Mohammad Khan Sherani has already been promised ministries and posts by the PPP. Maulana Mohammad Khan Sherani will get the chairman of the Islamic Ideology Council.

This is the character of our so-called religious leaders. Nobody is more materialistic than them. They are just hungry about power and perks, and they don’t have any conscience and the regard for the Ummah.  People like Fazlur Rehman are the curse upon this nation.
