No doubt these are of our own making. But instead of crying over spilt milk, let's look at the future... being Muslims we should look towards ALLAH (swt) for each and everything, it doesn't mean that we don't make efforts... it's just we should depend upon ALLAH (swt) and not our efforts... efforts are a way to prove that we're sincere in what we're asking from ALLAH (swt)... But to start with, we should certainly repent... we've done too much wrong... Mobashar,

Do no effort yourself and still believe that Allah will fix everything for you. Just like in cricket make Yousaf the captain he will spread the field all around with no plan whatsoever and then after losing just say that it was Allah's will or if that does not work then make Afridi who will try and bite the ball in thinking maybe this will work. Allah also says to strive with the best of your ability and honesty and he will pave the way for success. Honest planning and execution is the need of the time, if done right all these things will fall in place. Right !
