Epiphany Dawning on Pakistanis

Today’s Pakistan is the most rapidly changing country in the world. Today’s Pakistan is breaking the shackles and emerging as one new generation which is passing through blood, sweat, blasts, and every kind of problems and challenges. We now recognize ourselves and our friends and our foes.

We don’t hate America. We don’t hate modernity and we don’t hate progress. Yet we hate when Americans dictate us and abuse us for their vested interests. We know our weakness and we know that if we get strong enough, nobody would abuse us. We refuse to accept the Al Qaeda and Taliban and whatever obscure notions they stand for. We love Islam and want to be practicing Muslims, but we are resilient against the terrorists who have smeared the name of Islam just for their own power gains.

We have understood the democracy and we have seen enough of dictatorship. We have understood the internal conflicts within the country and we are ready to sacrifice. NFC award and its approval of provinces is the biggest manifestation of a new polity in Pakistan.

All we need is now a true leadership.

  1. Pakistan is rapidly changing. Extremism is being defeated in the country day by day. The Taliban and Al-qaeda now try to call this war as war agains Muslims which makes no sense at all. Just like their statement that they believe in Islamic bombings ONLY! Signs of one being deafeated.

  2. We need leadership that can take a stand on matters of self respect and sovereignty and is clean of corruption. It is very difficult to demand honesty, integrity and hard work from public if leader him or herself is corrupt or lack the moral authority to set an example.

there is no brain storming process being carried our for Pakistani people. They are being forced to trap in closed lane or toward dead end.Govt and army are demanding from us which is surely out of range of common man so system is created to force people to jump from the cliff and then he/she is declared to be martyr and great patriotic after he is hit as victim of terrorisms.
The people who knows the weakness of system have no link in decision making and action implementing authority. All who are holding the seat is still denying the reality and following the US transcript for making rules of war in our region.

  4. Another Bomb of DEMOCRACY is about to fall today. America and democracy are our friends but where are the Leaders who are Pious?

  5. This is not bomb on democracy but way to democracy by crossing the ways of thorns toward a democratic state.America and dictator designed this NRO to bring back the corrupt leadership that is why there is abundance of corrupt people on political ground. The day judiciary would start filtering these criminals who proclaimed to be leaders to Pakistan through sieve of NRO, once , twice and more the residue of pious people would be left and we would see better people in our houses.
So first step of overhauling of corrupt people has started and one has to face it.

  6. @nazia. I think the NRO issue has been solved last nite. We should now leave that aside and look at the more concerns of the country such as extremism and extreme conservative happenings that are resulting in many lives of the people.
