Elusive Schedule of Load Shedding
By The Pakistani Spectator • Aug 14th, 2007 • Category: Uncategorized • 3 CommentsWith the exception of some cities like Islamabad and Lahore, the rest of the country has been in extremely difficult situation because of un-announced power break down. In last two weeks I happened to be in Islamabad, Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sargodha and Lahore. I felt myself lucky as I had noticed till a week ago that mostly I stay in my home-town, Jauharabad as electricity situation was much better here as compared to many other cities but with the start of this week (starting from August 12 th), my happiness was short-lived as I experienced same break-downs as in the rest of the country. Islamabad and Lahore are better but the rest of the country including Karachi the electricity situation is terrible.
Needless to mention that during last seven years, not only a single unit was added to national grid by the Government which boosts of its financial performance and whose head, PM Shaukat Aziz says that his party would contest next general elections on basis of its “performance”….. La Howla Wala Quawwa…. To add salt to the injury__for the first time in history, we are noticing that this Government does not have courage to announce the figures of shortfall and declare a weekly schedule for load shedding. Off course our cries would be useless as it can not add electricity to the Grid yet we have right to be informed and given a weekly schedule so that everyone can manage his or her days and nights.
I am unable to understand why the authorities are behaving like thieves by keeping intriguing silence over this issue which jeopardizes lives of millions. WAPDA surely has data of demand and supply. They should announce the exact short fall and should announce schedule on weekly basis to be notified in press in each sub-division.

Very right. I’d like to add that this government rather states quite the opposite to hide their inabilities, and they do it in an artistic manner. Our government is following the preaching of Gobbels, Hitler’s minister for propaganda who said, “The greater the lie the more convincing it would appear.”
Confirm reports:
in NWFP load sheding schedule is observed strictly and apart from that more than 12 hours contineous power stoppage is being observed in most areas such as Dargai etc.
make all K.E.S.C ppl stand in line aur mughai kudh kush hamlai ke igazat dain plzzzzzzzzzzzz….
