Eid Mubarak, Don’t Forget Our Troops

By Gul Raiz • Oct 1st, 2008 • Category: Politics • One Response

On This Eid, remember to share our moments of happiness with the poor and destitute in keeping with the spirit of Islam. Eidul Fitr signifies the culmination of the holy month of Ramazan and is a gift of Allah Almighty for his faithfuls for fasting with devotion during the holy month.

Sectarianism, terrorism and militant activities are the senseless, evil and cruel acts based on ignorance and were totally against the spirit of Islam. Eid provides us with a golden and unique chance to clear this ignorance and to unite together, while fostering peace, harmony and life.

It is my heartfelt request to all my brothers and sisters in the country and abroad to take stock of the situation at this critical juncture of our history, support the efforts of the security forces in combating terrorists and the enemies of this country and make full endeavours to make this country a citadel of Islam, in the true sense of the term so that we are able to earn a place of respect and honour for ourselves among the comity of nations.

While we are celebrating Eid here, our forces are at war with the terrorists and the enemies. Remember them in these moments.
