Eid-ul-Fitr is linked with the Holy month of Ramadan. It signifies the end of the month of fasting and is celebrated on the first day of the Lunar month- Shawwal on Muslim Calendar.

Eid-ul-Fitr is a unique festival held in the Muslim world. This festival has no connection with any historical event nor is it related to the changes of seasons or cycles of agriculture harvest. It is also not related to any worldly affairs. Eid ul Fitr marks the end of the month of Ramadhan when the Muslims say farewell to this blessed month. Its significance is purely spiritual. It is the day when the Muslims thank God for having given them the will, the strength and the endurance to observe fast which they observe from dawn to dusk and obey God’s commandments during the holy month of Ramadan.

God Almighty says in Quran to the believers [2:183]:”O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may become righteous.”And [2:185]: “The month of Ramadan is that in which the Qur’an was sent down as guidance for mankind with clear proofs of guidance and discrimination. Therefore, whosoever of you is present at home in this month, let him fast therein./-/”….. That you may exalt Allah for His having guided you and that you may be grateful”.

Muslims on finding this month of Ramadhan spend its beautiful days by fasting and the nights are filled with prayers. This is a month when Muslims from all walks of life try to excel each other in the works of piety and try their best to march on the path of righteousness in order to seek the nearness of God. They find it immensely blissful for them that their Lord bestowed them with ample opportunities to recharge their spiritual batteries.

At the end of this month the Eid day arrives and brings a sense of rejoicing and happiness; the rejoicing and the happiness that one feels after successfully completing an important gruelling task. Muslims invariably feel that this day  they are closer to their mighty Lord. Eid ul Fitr is celebrated for three days as national holiday in all the Muslim countries as the Feast of Fast Breaking. Gifts are exchanged. Friends and family gather to pray in congregation.

  1. Eid e Saeed Mubarakbaad

Whereas Eid Ul Fitr is the day of celebration and thanks giving to God Almighty that He bestowed us with a month of Ramadhan which was full of blessings and provided us yet another opportunity in our lives that we were rightly able to practice fasting in order to gain a nearness of God Almighty. Rightly so Eid day is gift of God for this achievement and to renew our resolutions to set our future pace on the righteous way in our lives but our enemies—- it is evident beyond doubt that they may not like to see us embroiled in such bliss.

The recent Kohat, Hangu bomb blasts and many more bomb blasts that these are in pipe lines are the part of planned subversive activities by our enemies in order to escalate and induce anarchy and create a war scenario in Pakistan.

Whereas our armed forces are busy fighting the local insurgents in Swaat and FATA area in order to bar and stop them playing in the hands of enemy for paltry monies; in fact our armed forces are busy in averting yet a bigger war that our enemies are about to unleash and thrust upon us which is lurking on our western borders.

Eid ul Fitr and alike are such good occasions to have bomb blasts to shatter the public morale in the times— sensitive like Eid ult Fitr and make feel the public to be more insecure right in their homes. It is worth remembering that Late President of Iraq Saddam Hussein after a show trial was sent down the gallows right on the day of Eid ud Doha.

I hope that this Eid does not bring us more havoc and loss of lives at the hands of our own sons of the soil—now turned traitors and that unfortunately they elect to play in the hands of enemy for their paltry gains.
