Dr Maleeha Lodhi Set to Replace Hussain Haqqani in America

- The revelation of the confidential letter, on an Indian television channel
- The granting of visas “at ambassadorial discretion” to a host of Americans, some of whom had earlier been deported
- The inclusion of clauses targeting the Pakistan army in the Kerry Lugar Bill
- The general damage to the Pakistani interests abroad
The establishment has clearly told the Zardari to get rid of Haqqani as soon as possible and they have even given a green signal to the Dr. Maleeha Lodhi to become the next ambassador of Pakistan in United States. President is still resisting, but he knows that he has to do what he is being told to do.

Rumours are terrible. What you don’t see with your eyes, don’t witness with your mouth. If it’s very painful for you to criticize your friends - you’re safe in doing it. But if you take the slightest pleasure in it, that’s the time to hold your tongue. I’ve nothing to say about this story because such stories have no worth and based on lies. A cruel story runs on wheels, and every hand oils the wheels as they run. Hussain Haqqani was being criticized from day one, as few people on media never taken him anyway. Government, people are quite satisfied the way Haqqani is working. I have never found him doing anything against Pakistan’s interests. I must say that anti-democratic forces will have to pocket the insult at the end of day!

Hussain Haqani should get blamed for all this anti Pakistan language in the bill. This is not roumour because what did he do in washington? He met Keri and Lugar many times before the passage of bill, so why he should not be blamed for it. He is busy organizing the fashion shows and dinners. How you can trust him when he has changed his loyalty so many times? We need a career diplomat in washinton who can work with our Friendly USA govt. He needs to go sooner then later.

hussain haqqani is such a talented man . his book “between mosque and military ” is worth reading and he knows both American and Pakistan establishment and society very well . i think he knows more about capitol hill more than those who works there.

Indian spends over 100’s of Million $ annually on lobbying forms get favorable policies in USA. With such huge money and influence of American Indian’s in USA, India greatly influences US policies towards South Asia. Present KL Aid Bill for Pakistan was strongly opposed by Indian lobby. As $ 7.5 Billion aid package would help Pakistan to develop civilian infrastructure without cutting the defense budget.
Pakistani Ambassador Hussain Haqani who is very well connected in US decision makers successfully defeated all these efforts of Indian lobby. Even with very little resources which Pakistan spends on lobbying in Washington, Haqani get the aid Bill passed from congress. The controversial clauses like access to AQ Khan and Bulachistan were removed with his personal efforts.
Now USA congress has further clarified the conditions for military aid, although there was no condition for civilian aid earlier. This will make Haqani more stronger who is already believed to be one of the most powerful diplomats in Washington. At these difficult times not only government but Pakistan army also thinks that there can be no better alternate of Haqani to defend Pakistani policies in US and have such important contacts in policy makers.
The rumors being spread are from right wing extremists lobby, as, Haqani has been strong supporter of a secular and moderate Pakistan. His book is one of the important books on exposing how USA and Pakistan developed this monster called Taliban. This is unforgivable sin in eyes of right wing Taliban apologists. In fact Haqani has strengthened his position in eyes of Army and government and proved himself a powerful diplomat. Neither Army nor government afford his removal in these difficult times for Pakistan.
There is on thing common between mushhaid hussain and haqqani that they are proved to be best intellectuals of Pakistan who can define the real problems of Pakistan to outer world with their charismatic word power with sense of political analogy .
Now come to their real life one always stands with chaudry shujjat and other is working all time to give cover up to zardari and his team.
Both illiterate and most corrupt political icons are all time protected by these intellectuals so what is common between them.
Greed of power, money and give protection to idiocies of political characters.
I dont know what he mentioned in his book but I know well that he started his career from mosque as a strong jamaitia and now backing all military operation to our people while sitting in Washington.

President AZ is the man who is showing his efforts to save Pakistan and Chaudhries did the opposite which we are facing “THE GIFTS OF ZIA,CHAUDHRIES AND MUSH” “TALIBAN”, First AZ saved PAKISTAN by his slogan PAKISTAN KHAPPAY when Mohtarma BB was Assasinated, then he ordered war against terrorism OPERATION RAAH-E-RAAST.. Now he is planning to end up all the Terrorist groups who are having camps of suicide attack training and so called JIHAD in SOUTH WAZIRISTAN.. In these hard situations as being a Patriot Pakistani i am supporting his efforts for making Pakistan a Safe and Peacefull State.. Finally i am coming to my topic which is regarding Ambassador Haqqani.. I don’t believe in past, the thing i know is to think about future.. No matter Haqqani was a Jamaati or Muslim Leaguee, I believe that Ambassador Haqqani is giving his duty as a Patriot Pakistani in US by defending Pakistan’s Policies and making our relations smooth with USA.. Just take a look at Musharraf’s Regime, at that time US use to say “DO MORE” but now they are saying WHAT ARE YOUR NEEDS OR WHAT KIND OF HELP YOU WANT, TELL US? That’s the basic difference which is made due to the die hard efforts of a Patriotic Pakistani Ambassador Hussain Haqqani.. This is what Mushahid Hussain can’t do.. This is what Ishaaq Dar or Chaudhary Nisar can’t do because they just know how to make speeches against Government or Efforts of Democratic Leadership… I am here because i need to describe my thoughts and my feelings for a better Pakistan, a Peacefull Pakistan and a Prosper Pakistan which this Government can do with our support.. We have to stand with this Democratic Government and Pakistan Army on war against Terrorism.. If we need a safe Pakistan,If we need a Country with no more suicide attacks so we need to do it.. hussain haqqani was the only journalist back in 1999 who severely opposed the martial law of musharraf. during the nawaz sharif governemtn he was in jail and was tortued by the police force on the orders of mian nawaz sharif just because he was a loyal ppp worker and an outstanding journalist opposing the draconian regime of nawaz sharif in which nawaz sharif even kicked out the supreme court judges. benazir bhutto held this man in great esteem and he was already decided by her to be the ambassador to US if she became the PM. hussain haqqani has been a precious man for pakistan. during a time when we have been blamned by the international community for playing a double game in the war on terror it was a strenuous task to re build the image in front of big poewrs and he did that skillfully. kerry lugarbill is the first ever non military aid to civil set up in pakistan and the ghq is after it only becasue it is not for the filthy generals but to build roads and hospitals for the poor people of pakistan.
The current bombings in Pakistan are definitely a cause for concern. It is unfortunate that after a successful military operation in Swat and surrounding areas, these shameful militants still take pride in the loss of human lives. Then again, it is difficult to expect them to respect the value of life once they become suicidal and so keen on killing others. The Kerry-Lugar Bill is another operation that has exposed the lack of respect journalists have for others as well. From fake stories, to conspiracies and downright lies, Pakistan’s media has seen and done it all. The legal battle ensuing from the lies has only proved the malice and bad intentions with which journalists like Ahmed Quraishi pen their writings.
