Do Pakistani Officials Really Know About Osama Bin Laden?

By Mohsin Sehgal • May 12th, 2010 • Category: Politics • 4 Comments

It seems that the US officials are the most confused lot right now as they are poking the ghosts in the dark castle with dark glasses on their blind eyes. Instead of recognizing the ground realities and adopting a realistic strategy in the interest of people of America and rest of the world, they are still following the old stories of the yore and are all set to repeat the past blunders, while costing more and more civilian casualities.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said that some officials in Pakistan know more about the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden, al-Qaeda and the Taliban than they actually claim to have. She seems to the most clueless woman on earth right now which is very much alarming to the world, as US is the sole super power and the words of Hillary mean a lot.

“I’m not saying that they’re at the highest levels but I believe that somewhere in this government are people who know where Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda is, where Mulla Omar and the leadership of the Afghan Taliban is and we expect more cooperation to help us bring to justice, capture or kill those who attacked us on 9/11,” Clinton said in an interview with CBS television on Sunday.

Now that is very preposterous and ridiculous and the Pakistani government should ask for the clear answer from the ally. We are fighting this war against terror and we need the support of US, and not the confusion and threats of Hillary.

  1. This is not a threat from US. It’s merely an observation. Pakistan has nabbed many high-profile terrorists or killed them upon intelligence information. I am sure if they knew where Osama is, he would have been behind the bars at the moment. These are the things on which our enemy that is the Taliban militants thrive on and they profit from it.

  2. @yasir I would agree to your comment. This time requires that we help our allies in the war on terrorism and give our state a bit of secular touch so we can progress as a nation and get out of this mindset that is holding us back.

  3. Pakistan is supporting the USA in this war on terror. We are the country that has had maximum casualities in the recent years and the nation supports the Army to defeat militancy. Taliban are just using this as a strategy to produce hatred towards USA and cash from it to create more chaos in the country.

  4. It is the moral obligation of all those who have been in contact with the alleged terrorists to reveal the information, as it is in favor of both our country and the world.
