Disadvantages of Load Shedding
By The Pakistani Spectator • Dec 21st, 2008 • Category: Politics • 7 CommentsLoad shedding in Pakistan has become one of the major issues like inflation, unemployment, child labour, suicide bomb-blast, illiteracy and last but not least political instability. This issue or problem has made his way in the country due to irresponsible government leaders and unawareness of nation.
The amazing fact regarding the lives and daily routines of poor and patient people of Pakistan is that they never tried to get a leader for their benefit and always wanted to have their country progressive. In Pakistan we could find the lions who could even work without having electricity.
As a matter of fact,we may find people fighting on the streets like animals without having patience the harsh dialogue delivery may also be seen by the people sometimes, but these kind of issues would be seen occasionally but the problem of load shedding could make anybody freaky or absent minded.we come to depression sometimes when there would be no electricity available in the city and especially when someone would be doing important work.In the meantime, when a person might be busy with important project and electricity would create disturbance by disappearance it could make people angry and work less.
The workers of KESC also seem helpless in this case, they may not be able to solve the power problem due to some unstable wiring connectivity and less support of government. The wiring system is not up to the mark and hydroelectricity may not be produced to have benefit for the nation.Leaders of Pakistan do not seem interested to solve this case and nation does not forcefully act over this issue. They do not act against unstable leader.
There would be a great need to have a united nation .Pakistan could not be able to solve its problems due to misunderstandings among its people. The whole nation must be united if they would be intentionally interested to have a established and progressive country.

There are two major impacts of load shedding both on micro and macro levels. Load shedding has a direct impact on GDP and International trade. Mills and factories can not survive in this kind of situation and result in either closing down the business or down sizing which again creates another problem of unemployment. People who have experience of certain industry can not switch to any other industry that easily and In addition to that we have economy crisis everywhere right from financial markets to pharmaceuticals, textiles to shipping. We are living in an age where we are facing these kind of problems which is not any more issues for developed countries. We have different means of producing electricity but all I can say is THIS IS NOT THE PRIORITY OF OUR GOVERNMENT. We are better at importing Mercedes, BMWs and Prados.
Sania did you forget foreign tours or un-due and un-wanted protocols, sometimes and even hi-fi dinner parties. Gas of few industries have been disconnected so is electricity all over Pakistan. Simple is can any nation progress without energy ? I have a question , No Government of ours so far worked Nuclear Enery Production, Hydel Power, Wind Power Why No ? Agreed that the whole nation must be united for established and progressive country, but how under whose leadership , each one has his own vested agenda and interests , but I am sure that a common man who does’nt matter is united
and will remain united. In 61 years we still dont have basic necessary amneties, like clean water, health, free or atleast affordable quality education, infrastructure. I hope and sincerely wish that we all stand united in all matters ofcourse including our so called leaders.
Sania and Saleem
I totally agree with the write-ups of both of you.
Alongwith electricity loadshedding, gas loadshedding has also started which’s compelling the factories to close down their business.
Just see the foresight of our rulers. Why can’t all the households in Pakistan use solar geysers instead of gas geysers? These geysers do not use costly solar cells. They are run by sun’s heat. It’s a pity that the government doesn’t think on these lines. These geysers can easily be manufactured in Pakistan and some companies are busy manufacturing them. This industry requires some encouragement from the government. It requires commonsense which’s not that common!

Loadshedding is a major problem causing many pakistanies to suffer today from various difficulties. Just recently in karachi due to the problem of loadshedding a 9 year old girl suffering from a disease had to be treated with a torch. This inccident shows that the situation of pakistan is worsening day by day and also resulting in the deaths of many people. Due to the unavailibilty of electricity many people have resulted to strikes and demonstrations once again resulting in the deaths of many people.
Is there any Advantages?
pakistan is a bakwaas country having too much problems…..
Yes brothers I’ also agree with all you. Because it is not duty of Govt. to develop a nation. It is the combined contribution of all the people of a country to make his nation developed.
