Cup Tan
By Salman Mugsi • Mar 2nd, 2012 • Category: Politics • One ResponseYou would be surprised to learn that even the illiterate Sindhis in goths were kinds of excited when they heard that Imran Khan was coming over to their area for a public meeting. They had heard about him, seen him playing years ago, and thought that after Bhutto, they had got something to count on.
I know that many walked for miles on foot to attend the public meeting of Imran Khan in Umerkot, and there once again Imran Khan promised Umerkot freedom from the evil rule of landlords and feudal mafia. The rural Sindhis may be illiterate but they are not blind. They were perplexed when the heard Imran saying that and while watching some of the waderas sitting on stage at the same time.
Though it was hard for many to understand the Urdu of Imran Khan, but they knew that they had another imposter at their hands and there was yet another Bhutto like deception. Imran talks about change, but doesn’t believe in it. Imran doesn’t trust his own claims and that is why he is letting waders, feudal and landlords to join his party from other big parties. There is no change at all, and just old commodities in new shopping bag.
