Sir!

You sure can say to me anything you consider appropriate and you just did!

I am happy to read what you wrote. It's never too late for wise people to see the truth as it is, this charlie's uncle doesn't have "reasonable understanding of politics" but still there are some fools who wish to entrust the nation's destiny to him. Is that a national tragedy or not; must we not try our level best to bring this message home. I think and consider this our duty to resist this man's access to the corridors of power. Just keep him close to some 'nehari and halwa paratha' shop and let him feed his instaiable hunger.

Mr. Aftab S. Alam said "By the way, when you talk about Ramazan then you must concentrate on whole spirit of it and come out of ‘the hole’ full of hatred & divisive tactics spreading negative thoughts only."

And sir what if I say the same thing to you?

You are wrong to speculate, or lets say believe that I am pro Nawaz. He doesn't even have a reasonable understanding of politics. I guess that covers all.

This is what holding Nawaz from pursuing case against Musharraf, despite he has court in his pocket. Once Article 6 should get moved, there are many who would like that article to move against all concerned. Anyhow, I think it is time article 6 of the constitution should be invoked in full and all guilty of high treason should get hanged. Nothing should be selective and justice should be across the board equally. So we should better read article 6 and know what it is, as this article does not include only Musharraf, but there are many others who are included and should get hanged, that includes Nawaz, Iftikhar Ch, Shahbaz, Imran, Qazi, Hashmi, Hamid Gul, Roedad Khan, and many groaning with Nawaz. Note: Most politicians of JI, JUI, JUP, ML, and most politicians who are part of PMLN aided and abetted Zia coup by joining his cabinet and later voted to give him constitutional legality. Imran used to tango with Zia, and his party abetted with military coup of 1999. Most politicians of PPP abetted with 1999 military coup by inviting the coup and distributing sweets. Most Supreme Court Judges including Iftikhar Ch abetted with Musharraf by legalising 1999 military coup and giving Musharraf power to amend the constitution (IC was aiding and abetting Musharraf rule from Oct 1999 till reference was sent against him to SJC in 2007, so instead of defending corruption charges in front of SJC, knowing that he was guilty of corruption and nepotism, he started bhangra on road). Actually, if it was not for Ayub, Zia and Musharraf, we would not have seen Bhutto and Nawaz in politics or Iftikhar Ch as CJ of SC … as all three got their places because of military dictators and their coup, especially NS and IC. Article 6 of the constitution: http://www.Pakistani.org/Pakistan/constitution/part1.html 6. High treason. (1) Any person who abrogates or attempts or conspires to abrogate, subverts or attempts or conspires to subvert the Constitution by use of force or show of force or by other unconstitutional means shall be guilty of high treason. (2) Any person aiding or abetting the acts mentioned in clause (1) shall likewise be guilty of high treason. (3) [5] [Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament)] shall by law provide for the punishment of persons found guilty of high treason. So: Article 6:1 … covers all military personals whoever got involved in saving Pakistan from corrupts, thugs, liars, immoral, and petty criminals holding government offices and destroying Pakistan … that includes many generals who went against government of Pakistan in 1958, 1969, 1971, 1977 and 1999. Hence article should get invoked on all military personals alive today (including Hamid Gul) who were active in above dated coups, during coup or later by aiding and abetting the coup … as they are all guilty of same thing, high treason. They cannot say that they were following orders, as breaking the laws and crime done is still breaking the laws and crime done even if that is under order (or to save Pakistan from destruction). Article 6:2 … that should be invoked too with article 6:1 as both 6:1 and 6:2 are interlinked that defines people guilty of high treason. Article 6 includes both clauses 6.1 and 6.2 equally to define people guilty of high treason … both clauses are interlinked as wording of the constitution … ‘people covered in clause 6.2 are likewise guilty of high treason as people mentioned in clause 6.1′ … thus one cannot and should not invoke one clause (6.1) without invoking linked clause (6.2). There should be no excuse that someone regretted, as regrets does not whitewash crime, especially what is against state and every citizen of state. Clause 6.2 covers: All Judges aided and abetted military coup by endorsing military coups … that includes Iftikhar Ch plus many past alive judges, as they are all guilty of high treason. All politicians who aided and abetted the coup by meeting military generals, invited military generals to stage coup, distributed sweets after coup, and later aided/abetted (helped) military generals rule the country by joining cabinet of military generals … and then made amendments in the constitution giving legality to that military general’s coup, they are all guilty of high treason. That includes Nawaz, Shahbaz, Imran, Qazi, Hashmi, Nisar, etc … well, most so-called politicians who are barking today are covered, as they at one time or another joined military dictator (remember Zia), aided and abetted that military dictator to rule the country (against the constitution). Further, 6.2 also cover bureaucrats, and thus all bureaucrats should get punished who aided and abetted military dictators in ruling the country (like Roedad Khan, etc). All journalists who wrote nicely about military dictator and made them hero are also guilty of high treason, as they aided and abetted that military dictator ruling the country by creating good image, while they were in power, that later encouraged coup (these journalists include all journalists who talk good about Zia-ul-Haq and praised him). Article 6:3 … parliament should get laws enacted for such persons (not person … but persons: Military personals, Judges, Politicians, bureaucrats, etc) who are guilty of high treason, and I believe that should be hanging.

The bright side about living in this crisis-s strewn land is that we people have turned not only some what stoical in our attitudes, but also very resilient. A Pakistani can certainly survive in the harshest of conditions anywhere in the world because no where on earth is the going as tough as it gets in Pakistan.

Nahin Yaar! It resembles an overfed politician like that Mian of Raiwind lying flat knocked down by all those extra servings of 'nihari & paiye' and 'badam ka halva' wahed down by a big glass of 'lassi' or is it Zaradri's punch in the nose.

Well there is some good news at least for Karachi residents. For close to a month now we've enjoyed relatively cool weather. Lets hope it persists in Ramazan kareem. BTW its a very well written post.

@Aftab S. Alam : I think the reason he's showing the tortoise is to emphasis the point that pakistan has been heading from one crisis to another since the time of independence. The tortoise in the picture is upside down and can't even get right side up.

Malik Sahib, let's suppose you are right with whatever (Happy?!). I am just wondering why have you put picture poor Mian with belly up - is it a warning to those who over indulge with anything that can be chewed and swallowed down the big fat tummy like the Mian's?

Or is it a warning to those hyperactive aspirants to power, busy in conspiracies against President Zardari, that they can 'turn turtle' anytime ?

By the way, when you talk about Ramazan then you must concentrate on whole spirit of it and come out of 'the hole' full of hatred & divisive tactics spreading negative thoughts only.
