Banks have levied counter fee since few months on cash payments on their counters, may be it is on the instruction of State Bank of Pakistan. In case of credit cards banks are already adding service charges & credit cover premium. In case of car & other loans banks are bound by the agreement that they have to receive the installment understood in agreements and not more than that. Then what is meant by counter fee? Many quarrel witness on bank counters. The excuse is to reduce rush on counter this fee is levied and to avoid this counter fee customer is compelled to open an account with that bank. When banks get business they should know it that customer will come on the counters for payments. So the counter fee is a burden on customers’ pocket. The concerned authorities should take notice of it and counter fee should be removed on bank payments of Credit cards, loans etc.
