AID CUT THREAT DID THE TRICK

Clinton warned Pakistan of aid cut if no deal
Mon Mar 16, 2009 4:01pm EDT

By Sue Pleming

WASHINGTON, March 16 (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told Pakistan’s president and opposition leader over the weekend U.S. aid could be at risk unless they defused a crisis over a top judge, U.S. officials said on Monday.

In a surprise move, Pakistan’s government announced on Monday it would reinstate Iftikhar Chaudhry as chief justice, aiming to defuse a crisis and end protests by lawyers and activists that threatened to turn violent.

The officials said Clinton telephoned on Saturday both President Asif Ali Zardari and his rival, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who had backed the anti-government lawyers.

The officials said Clinton, who coordinated with British Foreign Secretary David Miliband, had exerted strong pressure for a deal.

No Need to Celebrate Nazia.....and for Good for the majority of patriotic Pakistanis! :-)

The democratically elected PPP government shall make sure to clip Chaudhry Justice's 'wings', before he is installed as CJ again, so that he won't roam around taking nonsense suo-moto actions, and meddling in the affairs of Jumma Bazars and Traffic Police, the way he used to do in the past. The government shall make sure that this man does not get too big for the shoes of a Chief Justice. This time around we can expect to see a much civilized and tamed Chaudhry Justice Iftikar.

After all, the people have elected PPP to govern, not the Chaudhry Justice.

JEEAY BHUTTO! JEEAY ZARDARI!
JEEAY PPP!
JEEAY PAKISTAN!

It is regrettable that some of us are so much caught in the romance of Chaudhry Justice Iftikhar, and his unique Justice movement, financially and politically backed by the Sharifs, that we fail to see the reality.

As Governor Salman Taseer rightly termed it, the so called Long March was in fact nothing more than a MEDIA MARCH. THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA HAS BEEN ON THE PAYROLL OF SHARIFS FOR QUITE SOME TIME NOW……THIS IS ALARMING FOR ALL OF US!

BY THE WAY PEOPLE TERM THESE BIASED PSEUDO JOURNALISTS AS DADDOOS (Frogs) WHO APPEAR IN MOONSON SEASON!

SHARIFS HI-JACKED A PIA PLANE IN 1999…..IN 2009, THEY ARE TRYING TO HIJACK OUR NATION BY USING THE ENORMOUS WEALTH THEY ACQUIRED BY LOOTING AND PLUNDERING OUR COUNTRY IN THE PAST.

SHARIF'S HAVE PLAYED A VICIOUS GAME, BY GETTING THEIR MAN CHAUDHRY JUSTICE IFTIKAR BACK IN THE SUPREME COURT. THEY ACHIEVED THIS BY BLACKMAILING THE ELECTED DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT THROUGH VIOLENCE AND CARNAGE ON THE STREETS....SO REGRETTABLE!

IFTIKAR CHAUDHRY IS ACTUALLY THE SHARIF'S MAN IN THE SUPREME COURT NOW! regrettable indeed :-(

But still, the tensions between PPP and the so called Justice Movement, financed by the wealthy Sharifs, have eased up a bit. The “Chaudhry Justice” will be back again with all his old pomp and show, and may be we’ll again be witnessing suo moto actions, fiddling, blackmailing, and meddling into government affairs as well as meddling in the affairs of Itwar Bazaars and Sabzi Mandi, by the “Chaudhry Justice” Iftikhar, the way it used to be in the old days.

BUT LETS HOPE THINGS TURN IN A BETTER WAY FOR ALL OF US!

Like there was a newspaper advertisement yesterday, showing Nawaz Sharif with his mentor, the wicked bloody dictator Zia, in the 1980s, there is a story to each of these major actors of the justice movement. The newspaper advertisement I mentioned actually had the caption:

WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN AND WE WILL NEVER FORGET!

JEEAY GOVERNOR SALMAN TASEER!
JEEAY PRESIDENT ZARDARI!
JEEAY PPP!
JEEAY DEMOCRACY!
JEEAY PAKISTAN!

Natasha
actual celebration will be started after 21st march when he will be allowed to enter to his premises. The ruling mafia and establishment still have 5 days to create mess and hindrance in his way.He and his team selected a very difficult path as in last 9 years of military dictator and one year of a feud have created many monsters in the route of true judiciary.lets see how his team of warriors managed to pass these 5 days but still lawyers have lot of apprehensions about the ambiguous statement of our coward and shaky Prime minister.

#1 - Eskay on March 16th, 2009 : ".....absolutely nothing is achieved so far." !

Eskay anyone who can see beyond the limits of his nose must agree with your above statement, you are right, "absolutely nothing is achieved so far" - there can't be, the agenda was planned by one 'gang' of thugs and exploiters to defeat and snatch power for their nefarious designs. They achieved what they wished but not us the poor masses of this poor country. The only hope is when we unite and demand unitedly and make sure that -

They all must go! They all must go! They all must go!

What next for Pakistan?
Do it Now
So what was the name of the game?
Whatever it was, the political Game results shows; it was about political show down, between ruling and opposition parties. Nawaz Sharif & brothers and allied political parties as on front lost miserably, left behind in middle of no where, Zardari wins in a tricky, foul move promise to reinstate a sacked supreme court justice, very interesting, CJ is a beneficiary, out of a struggle aimed to bring Justice, rule of law & order, and to install a functional, practical, fair political system and institutions, constitution to govern in Pakistan, absolutely nothing is achieved so far.
Us envoy Mr. Holbrooke said, and hoped it right
"Defuse a dangerous confrontation" I add until resolved.
