  1. He surely deserves this top seat.
    best wishes for him .
but pray for his security as these days our top educationists are on hit list of illiterate terrorists.

  2. Congrats Dr. Sahab!

  3. Its good to see that we have a sensible man at an important position.

All the best to the Prof. for the future.

  4. My prayers for your success. May Allah bestow you courage, wisdom and vision to steer the prestigious educational institution situated in troubled area of Pakistan. Good luck Prof. Kundi sahib.

  5. Infact the university, in addition to other elements of Dera Ismail Khan, has been deprived of basic rights by the hands of egocentric political elders.

The prof. has also been famous of being a stickler academician at the University of Balochistan and as an experienced and knowledgable professor he deserves the very position. Hope to see Dr. Kundi’s latest article stressing the need to implement his scholarly reforms at Gomal University soon.

Wish him best of luck in his mission.

    Thank you,

  6. I want to congratulate Dr. Kundi for his appointment as V.C. of Gomal Univeristy. There are tremendous opportunities for him to develop Gomal University as one of the best. There is close to 10,000 kinals of farm land (more than 1000 acres) that the university owns and could be converted into one of the best experiment station in agriculture with a goal of serving farmers in the region. In addition, he has ability and knowldege to develop strong political connections and utilize those connections to bring large sum of funds to build the new campus. There is also need for increasing computer technology for research and teaching. In this age any campus having less than adequate access to internet and web surfing and less use of computer technolgoy in offices can not move forward. I would also like to see improved web page of the campus. There are serious errors on web page such as the VC is labelled as President in on item “message from the president”. The title is VC an not president. I am sure Dr. Kundi will make improvements because he is very capable person.

  7. Dr Kundi,

  9. Anita Rai’s 6th book, JIHAD AND TERRORISM is soon coming out. As with every of her other book, this one too stands out in a sea of run of the mill publications on the same subjects. Rai says: “The spirit of Islam is promotion of peace, love and enlightenment and justice for all. Justice is the guiding force of Islam. And its very spirit requires Islam to defend the oppressed and establish the rule of justice in order to facilitate the superior functioning of the law of God for the optimum welfare of His creatures, basically and spiritually – this calls for Jihad, which means striving hard and honest, in the Way of God. Jihad, as preached and practiced by Muhammad, the Messenger of Peace (pbuh) is not necessarily same and similar to its understanding by the Muslims and the non-Muslims down the centuries. Hence, the history of Jihad – its phases, periods, politics and ploys – is very complex, which is not easy to grasp if one does not have the sophistication and depth of knowledge of the very complex and turbulent history of Islam. The why - when - how of jihad transgressing into terrorism is essential because almost always it is mentioned in the same breath as terrorism and even described as an equivalent. JIHAD AND TERRORISM is about portraying the Essential Jihad – illustrated by the Custodians of Islam (p b u them) and the Holy Book – which is averse to terrorism and wages a constant War on terror. So, although we find the history of jihad and the history of terrorism entangled, jihad and terrorism stand for distinctly separate and profoundly different values.”
