To add insult to injury, after every such tragedy, we come to know from Herr Rehman Malik, the chief cop, a barber by caste that they has the information about such attacks.
The Lahore attacks on the police academy in the suburbs of Lahore have occured on the heals of group terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team in the middle of Lahore. We still don’t know who did it and why and why government is still unable to capture the culprits. Lashkar-e-Taiba, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan or which banned outfit has wrecked this havoc.
Such attacks are not planned overnight over the dinner and carried out the next morning after the first cup of tea. They are hatched, analyzed, planned, managed and monitored meticulously with planners, think tanks, handlers, associates powered by the modern gadgets like mobile phones etc. They carry state-of-art weapons, rucksacks filled with commando commodities. Forward teams do the reckie of the area before the operation. They see the terrain and they mark their targets and they prepare the contingency plan.
The way these terrorists have shown their operations prove that they have got massive and professional help and they are very well trained and equipped. They are waging their war upon Pakistan with full vision, clear objectives and far-reaching methodology. They are inflicting successive wounds to our morale with flickering suicide attacks, group attacks, bomb blasts and even through their FM radios.
On the other side, sadly enough, what have we got? We have got a president who has even forgotten his fake smile. Who wants to rise above his late wife and his late father in law. Who in his warped psychology wants to prove his mettle. Who has got aides like Rehman Malik and Salman Taseer. Who is simply incapable to cope with the current challenges.
A very simple question. How security forces are supposed to protect the people and their own from the terrorists when they are busy in netting more and more MPAs for the Zardari?

In Pakistan Poverty and political, social, and economic inequalities between groups predispose to conflict; policies to tackle them will reduce this risk. People using religion, to justify attacks on citizens and government agencies, were a victim of injustice, or at least they felt that away.
Eight out of 10 of the world’s poorest countries are suffering, or have recently suffered, from large scale violent conflict. Wars in developing countries have heavy human, economic, and social costs and are a major cause of poverty and underdevelopment.
Solving these problem require a great patience, courage, commitment, determination, efforts, and will to solve, without any self interest, and in current situation nobody wants or have it. So burn baby burn.

Destiny of a nation is determined ONLY BY THE ACTIONS AND INTELLECT OF ITS PEOPLE.
Same is the case with Pakistan.
Whatever is happening in Pakistan…..is the result of their own stupid mentality.
I don’t think these things can be solved by any single person, even if zardari does the “Right Thing” for Pakistan. Blaming one person doesn’t make sense. Zardari was nobody two years back, you all know it, but these extremists were heroes of Jihad from a long time in Pakistan.
Pakistan needs a working system, intelligence, police and people to deal with such attacks, which i believe was not there. Pakistani people and government (deliberately?) ignored all the extremist stuff growing around them for too long, thinking that it is not going to hurt Pakistan, but will serve against India. Kinda playing with fire or something.
I think Pakistan needs another 5 to 10 years at least to get rid of such attacks completely by extremists, that too only if everybody (govt, people, army) in Pakistan works towards it.

Just one thing that I noticed in your article that I would like to highlight. Why have you brought the caste and what he is in your article? Does it have any significance over here are you planning to marry your daughter to him. While writing please try to avoid these kind of points.
Coming to the main point, the things that Pakistan has done for so long are now ripping results to them. They have supported and trained and financed these kind of people for long, now they have turned against there own supporter.
Please at least now try to wake up and see things around you. Radical Islam or Hard definition of Islam is not going to take you anywhere, follow Sufi style of Islam which is tolerant and can help Pakistan in long run.
yes u guys may be right that there are many things that a common Pakistani won’t ever know.. but let me make it clear Pakistan is very different country from the rest of the world. i won’t like to indulge in the religious confrontations but it is a very fact that Pakistan represent truly the whole of the Muslim world, Pakistan in the only atomic power in the Muslim world.
Some people say that religion is a personal thing and let every one do what he wants. but this is big mistake, those who think this way they forget that their very code of conduct is determined by their religion. indians(hindus), pakistanis( muslims), americans( christians) only do what their religion ask them to do. their culture, their laws, their social norms and ultimately their life styles reflect the teachings of their religions. so this is very stupid that we might exclude religion from our lives. now coming to the point the judaism( not the divine teaching, in fact the very fabricated and manipulated version and as its always been the history to mislead people for vested interests so that happened with jews as well) teach to their followers never live with Muslims in harmony. and the result is in front of your eyes. a common Indian ( a secular), the one who even does not beleive his own religion how can know the very basics of other. but this inherit hatred of jews for the muslims was better perceived by the Indian establishment and struggled hard to assure the Israel that we have a common enemy. a common indian won’t understand it but the very basic reason of the indo-israel tie is just to challenge the very existence of pakistan (you do your own research you will learn the realities).
every one around the world knows that americans ( establishment) are the puppets of Jews or, i may say, the very establishment of America is based on jews philosophy and their very allies and the rest of the world leaders are the puppets of America. you might think that how this terrorism is reacted to this state ideology. isreal will never want to see pakistan as a progressve nation and so it will leave no stone unturned to weaken the institutes of pakistan. but isreal is doing all this putting its gun on the shoulder of its allies or friends. this is a very complex problem a common indian will never understand it, because in india 70 percent people even do not know the complete geography of their very mother land i mean they even do not know much about their own states, and i am claiming it because a students delegation from our university had visited india for GHANDI MRACH, their visit arrangements were sponsored by the congress party. indian from different parts of the country had attended that event. and a student told that almost every indian they met never talked or knew about different sates they talked only of their own state. . . now all i mean to say india is a virtually secular state. secularism preaches to get freed your mind from the venom of religious and spiritual thoughts. now this is very understandable that people not having a common thing between them can not reach at a common point. in other words every one is allowed what he want to do. every one has to lead his life virtually only for himself (or say family). there is nothing common between the people, under this system, untill they have some material relationships.
today a hindu kills hundred mulsims just for the sake of being a hindu (religious motive). what is this? this is not secularism. . what i mean to say, the very existence of a nation is challenged when they leave their religion. and the only ideological states created and based on the principle of religion are isreal and pakistan.
indian establishment follows the religious philosophy of Hinduism and so pakistan follows the philosophy of Islam.

I do not agree to most of the things that you said. India is a secular state that is a fact and India’s association with Israel is result of consistent terror attacks on India and Israel’s expertise in handling gorella warfare. Coming to this Lahore attack, I understand it is a intelligence failure but with such fidayeen there is very little security forces can actually do. I am rather very happy that security forces in Pakistan did not allow this siege for more than few hours. Captured terrorists should be given examplery punishment and Pakistan can certainly do that unlike India where people like Kasab may also take years to get convicted and given some kind of punishment.
Bringing up Rehman Malik’s caste is an unbelievable thing to do in our day and age. The writer needs to wake up and enter the 21st century. A person’s caste is irrelevant and referral to it is nothing more than a sign of the writer’s backward and hateful frame of mind — these are precisely the sorts of attitudes that have made Pakistan a basket case and I am outraged that they would appear on this website.

there is nothing to get angry ,barber or Nai is normal caste of our rural areas.The actual theme of writer is that how our system helps low calibre people to raise their status in days.His father had run a little barber shop in village located near sialkot cantt.A colonial belonging to that area was regular customer of him on vacation.Here this honest earning man requested to that colonial that kindly helped him out of settling of his problem child into some reasonable job.Here this colonial helped him to enroll him as lower staff of FIA.After finishing his training he was appointed as guard of zia ulhaq and here he impressed our duffer head general .Dont know how?But here comes the rise of one of of corrupt icons of FIA.At this moment this uneducated and corrupt man is considered as one of richest business man whose offices are working in spain and UK In different names and for last years he was given the top most security post of Pakistan.So it is his highly suspicious personality that is need to be discussed.I think his father was much better and respectable citizen than him at least he earned from his hard working but his problem child earned through all illegal means .Time will prove his involveemnt in benazir murder as without his guidance this successful murder couldn’t be done in an accurate way.

good effort though some points are ambiguous but overall theme is good. some elements across the world are interested in this game and unfortunately there have always been some middle players who sell their conscience. this is a complex of complicated issues and the roots are very deep and entangled with ideologies.so this is not that easy to handle. what is happeneing in the country since few years is just one face of this ideological turmoil. the need is to get united and fight terrorism in all form and manifestations. unfortunately we have, so far, just condemned it.
It may a failure of intelligence (and it is; as always) that movement of those stooges could not be detected till they approached the target.
But it is absurd very absurd even to mention that some one appointed at such a high post is barber by cast and must be counted as menial.
If a section of our society has adopted a profession to bring about the services of hair cuttings; as a means to earn their living; that necessarily does not place them in degraded position or that the sons or daughters born in their families must not talented. What are we talking about? Does God Almighty also puts a bar on bestowing of talent by Him that our so called Muslim and Pakistani civilised society does not like to see them flourishing?
This is Indian cultural mind set which is still prevalent, not widely but in some spheres in Pakistan to count the artisans as menials. We all should be mind full that religion that we follow (most of us) totally shuns this approach.
Any how, keeping in view the constraints of society that we live in and the social status awarded to these artisans; in order to break its shackles (which have kept them fixed for generation); youngsters coming from such low placed families do adopt the profession of Medical Doctors and Engineers or simply go abroad.

It is also a known fact that Isfahan that Hassan attaches himself to, is the city of brilliant artisans who made the history in Islam. In Iran they are called Artisans; here in Pakistan you may grade them menial. Not expected from a man from Asfahan?

criticizing dr Ispahni on his wrong interpretation about cast seems to be logical but relating it to Indian culture place you in same level of degradedness where you put him.
Such cast system has strong roots in Pre islamic and even post Islamic era.In arab culture slaves and now servants are still recognized by their casts and tribes.Black and tan colur is still placed as lower rating in judging one’s beauty in this culture too.You would hardly find a rich and resourceful person of making choice of dark skin women there.In Arabs even typical names are used for showing the strength of their family and it was their pre Islamic traditions and still attached with it.Syed means lion so all high class people used name of strong animals as their symbol of strength but for lower cast they used name like saleem, aslam etc the name which shows inclination toward obedience and humbleness.Holy Prophet total rejected this idea so his name and name of his family members are frequently used in all classes.But here comes the actual difference when rich groups name their daughter fatima they always call her as Fatima th-el zahira but when they call their maid they say fatima only.In all orthodox culture you can find differences of cast, skin,and profession still acting as strong operating factors for recognizing each other.So I think criticizing Indian culture only in this regards also reflected yours wrong perception

If the Arabs are still livings in dark ages and are all out discriminating the poor vulnerable people; that does not give us the right that we also lead the same ways in our society. We here in subcontinent have stayed slaved to a specific culture which our elders, decades ago being Muslim and basing on two nation theory decided to break away from the main stream Indian culture. This was our choice for which Pakistan was carved and we must endeavour to excel others and set good examples. In Pakistan all human are supposed to be treated as equal; Muslims or Non Muslims and must be duly respected
Why this out right discrimination of subject person who is also leading our forces of security be condemned because Islam shuns discrimination of any kind.

[Part] “All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor does a black have any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.
Remember, one day you will appear before ALLAH and answer your deeds. So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.”

But none of the Sayyads would consider even a Kidwai anywhere near to them. The Qasai who slaughters only mutton or chicken is better than the one who deals in beef too but he may have a bone to pick with a Mirasi who is just a Singer/Dancer/Musician/Baul-Sufi Minstrel or a Manihar (Bangle maker) of Faizabad or Lad Bazaar of Hyderabad but the Mirasi may look with contempt at one who handles effluents..

An Ajlaf treats himself to Ashraf-hood by first arriving at some level of economic security and when that happens, the first thing that he does is to obtain a “fair” complexioned woman of higher class even if a widow of poorer means and then put her in Purdah exactly as a Ghairatmand Khandaani Sayyad would, so that she doesn’t have to work outside. No more jobs in a Tanning Factory for her even if she is the smartest one around. Next, he must procure a lower caste Muslim or even a Hindu maid-servant so that Begum Sahiba does not have to deal with riff-raff by going to Bazaar on her own. Next is to prevent his girl-child from even thinking of going to a co-ed school. The colloquial simple dialect common to common men must be dropped by the children and Zer/Zabar/Pesh must make an appearance even in speech. Dark spot of Piety on forehead by then is a must and a few phrases dropped here and there in Arabic are always useful. Next is to become choosy about whom not to break bread with. Social Stratification has to be converted to one’s advantage, not to that of the others. In due course one must look for a Daughter-in-Law from a Higher Caste making SURE at the same time that one’s daughter does not start making eyes with a “badzaat” boy of lower caste!”"

I had no intention to interfere into your query to writer as it is matter of between you two but when you compare his misstep and linked it with weakness of Indian culture only then it hurts little as he pinpoint one caste by error but you target whole nation.I just give examples of Arab culture as such differences on the basis of cast, color and status still exist in strong Muslim cultures too.Americans are very luck that they have got rid of these curses but even then they took 200 years for bringing black as their president.Their human values are on top of the world but still in their big cities you would find that there black, Asians or rich white still prefer to live in their own community and specified areas.EU have controlled such differences through their strict laws but there exist some orthodox cultures who still believe in such complements.

Caste system and its disadvantages are strong parameters in our culture but at this moment people of Pakistan are highly disturbed by the low profile actions of this character rehman mailk who is being forced on us by unknown forces.He is calling here by the name of dakait, joker cartoon, goon or thug .Through out his tenure whenever bloodshed happened on our streets, he always given stupid comments like that thanks God by our planning is successful and no VIP is hurt in this incident.He was many time snubbed on his wrong interpretation by our strong anchormen that all people who are dying in these bloody activities are VIP people for their love ones but his tape is just stuck on default statement and annoying us a lot as we are highly disturbed what is going on around us.So showing his mediocre background and camparing his high level flights by ignoring the common man’s interest is making us more annoyed and frustrated.
