[...] It’s the second such mass protest. Last June, thousands of Pakistanis of various political stripes and socio-economic classes, marched from Karachi to Islamabad to demand the restoration of the judiciary in first Long March. Benazir Bhutto’s PPP and Nawaz Sharif’s PML-N campaigned on the issue for the Feb 2008 elections. While the PML-N has continued to push for restoring the judges to the bench, the ruling PPP has spurned the demand since winning the elections. Instead, judges loyal to the party have been sworn in, including the questionable Abdul Hamid Dogar. Also see here. [...]

In our system, only the most dishonest, corrupt, characterless (I cant write more bad words because i cant find appropriate word in the dictionary to define these people may be we should add some new words specially to define these ppl) goes to the top positions, good ppl either left far behind or leave country because of this unjust and bad system

If people like Musharraf ,Zardari ,pervez alahi,Shughat hussain and Doger (are few to name) reach the top position we shouldn’t be surprised

A country in which you have to pay thousand of rupees in bribes (may be in lacs) to got even a very low level job in government sector how can you expect good people on the top? Remember (go boo gay who hee katoo gay) and (hammam may sub nangay hooty hain) so in this corruption hammam sub nangay hain up to their capacity and power (except a few exception which I seriously doubt are still there)

My only argument is, when the nicer, cleaner people with convictions and better value system leave the political interaction and become inactive then it’s their weakness, it is weakness of their conviction and it’s exploited by others. It is true and holds for the over all politics in Pakistan. Just look around from Peshawer to Karachi and in between, what kind of people with what track records are sitting in assemblies (both the national level and the provincial assemblies), the quality and number of ministers and advisor and what not.

He escaped but his wife was injured.I am above fifty and knew that death is just close and very close to all above fifty but unfortunately mostly involved in these dirty plays are above fifty.I am perhaps going away from topic but have to tell you an example. One land mafia’s small ring leader who is young than others is diabatic (sugar) patient with a permanent problem of high blood pressure, with a transplanted kidnee and one arm total disable due to an accident and the other arm has a also a farshula (can not spell ,it is used for deliases). He kills people for money. They can be spared but if the people who are on top slot for justice will act like these what will be the future of the nation. When Ansar Abbasi was talking about Dogar and Iftikhar at Geo’s programe Capital Talk,I was only thinking that how we can explain this all if any foreigner asked about this
