Botox for Pakistani Girls

By Amna Gilani • Jul 25th, 2012 • Category: Features • 8 Comments

I was kind of lost when my teenage cousin asked me in Urdu“baji, botox kya hota hai?” (Sister, what is Botox?)

She has just passed her 9th class and I was anxious and curious as from where he got the whiff of this thing. She told me that she received an email from some doctor in Lahore who was offering Botox for few hundred rupees and was promising an eternal beauty.

I know that one of high class begum in Defense had used botox to remove wrinkles from her forehead, though later she continuously complained of headache and droopy eyelids. She is quite a graceful and pretty lady but was not happy with the wrinkle which emerged when she spoke. So she spend couple of grand rupees to get an injection, and though wrinkle disappeared, new problems emerged.

Besides of its many side effects, the botox prevents the brain from sending messages that make muscles contract. I totally am in favor of cosmetics and the natural of female to look good, but resorting to such unnatural and risky measures like botox should be discouraged. Also I wonder who many Pakistani girls have bought this to get the false eternal beauty when they really dont need it?

  1. Also I wonder who many Pakistani girls have bought this to get the false eternal beauty when they really dont need it?

The great importance of MASCARA various type of Wrinkle Removal Creams with hi fi complete imported Make Up kit.

  2. Pakistani girls are natural beauties and they donot require this American import which fattens the Drug MNCs .

  3. Good article.

    >some doctor in Lahore who was offering Botox for few hundred rupees…

Botox injections are supposed to be expensive. If he is only charging a few hundred rupees, he is probably a fraud, doesn’t know what he is doing, and the side effects will prove to be fatal.

  4. Its not Botox only but lipo suction, laser cosmetic surgery all are creating havoc. These treatments are sealing last skin cells and oxygen passage is closed. These are worst kind of technologies which is just promoting as business entities but on the cost of health of rich class.

  5. Billions of dollars are spent in the U.S. and a number of western countries on plastic surgery. From botox, veneers, lip enhancement, breast lifts, breast implants, tummy tucks, cheek implants, eyebrow lifts, collagen, eyelid surgery, nose jobs, ear jobs, and even vaginoplasty. The worst part is that the girls who opt for these are perfectly normal, young, beautiful girls. A number of plastic surgeries have gone wrong and have resulted in deformation. Some have resulted in death.

  6. I can assure you stree free, risk free wrinkle removal without any pain in my clinic, which has been vetted by the ministry of health. I only charge Rs. 10K for one wrinkle removal and the work is guaranteed.

  7. Teenagers, you should not have a surgery for weight loss; this can harm your health and development. I know a person who had breast surgery when she was 14 and now she’s struggling with breast cancer. That’s why I’m joining a local breast health campaign called breast cancer gear to raise people’s awareness.
Why don’t you just join some aerobics classes or other sport activities??? Believe me, people of this age do not find it so difficult to lose weight.

  8. This is a good article in the sense that people could learn a lot from it.but the thing is,that people who dont know what it is,should not comment here.Everyone is commenting here regardless of the fact that most of them dont even know what it is,and why people use it!I’m not a plastic surgeon but i do know how this works. It is very successful.Like all surgeries, there are risks assosiated with it though. For example, the laser therapy for eyes is one of the best developments in the ophthalmology, but it is only 90% successful.7% people dont have any improvements and 3% go blind.but still,i’ld absolutely go for it if i need it myself, because it is the best therapy there is.And well, who says that pakistani girls dont need plastic surgery?!come on people, wake up!there are so many girls who need it!their confidence levels will be boosted and they’ll accomplish much more. You always do well when you look good.open mindedness is something that is almost impossible for us pakistanis,we need to change.
