The Pakistani Spectator

Last night my friend emailed me a video uploaded on famous video sharing website you tube (www.youtube.com).Actually it was some part of the complete program.” Living on the edge” whose punch line is “living on the edge Pakistan’s first dare reality show”. This show is telecasted by Pakistani satellite Television channel “The Musik” (A part of ARY digital network).

It was approximately 5 minute video but the sad thing is,after watching the video I was feeling ashamed of the fact that Wiqar Zaka is a citizen of Islamic republic of Pakistan.,because it was pure vulgarity in the name of boldness and bravery.How can someone ask somebody about that type of stuff on-air,it is truly mind-boggling. Wiqar zaka was asking openly from his guest about his wrong doings in the life and the guest unfortunately answered very proudly that he has done so many sins in the life like rape and bla bla bla******* and the most disturbing thing was the cheap street language used by the guest who was a young boy,that too with full freedom right in front of camera.Wiqar zaka was very anxiously asking about his sinfull deeds and the boy too was providing him full details of his heroics. I don’t want to write more about that show here because it will be inappropriate to discuss that type of things here. Living on the edge claims that it is Pakistan’s first dare reality show but i dont think so, i cant say about the whole show but that fight thingy was not real, everyone can see it is a pure drama orchestrated by Wiqar Zaka as we can clearly see smile on the faces of wiqar zaka and that so-called daredevil (that young boy).

I don’t know about the current status of this program (is it banned or still on air) but I have a humble advice to all the high ups in Pakistan electronic media regulatory authority (PEMRA) that ForGod sake wake up and take action against this program either ban it or force director of the show to change the content of the show to a acceptable level,I don’t know about others but at least I cant watch a program with this type of content sitting along my family.Wiqar Zaka i dont have anything against you and no one is stopping you from doing bold programs but there are some limits that should not be crossed.Wiqar tell me one thing can you watch above mentioned video with your family?
