Bilawal Bhutto Zardari : A Leader in Making

By Altaf Khan • Aug 9th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 22 Comments

He has got the leadership, servicing the people and vision in his genes from his great mother and then from the father of his mother. He has grown up watching his mother giving sacrifices for the Pakistan and for its people.  He has seen and been with his mother to the international fora and he is well acquainted with the manipulations and politcs at the highest level.

His upbringing in London in the company of the late Benazir Bhutto is something which will be very helpful for the Pakistan. The diehard and the sympathisers of the Pakistan People’s Party are sad these days as their party has failed to deliver, but they are very much confident and hopeful that the Bilawal Benazir is there and soon he is going to come and break the shackles.

People wept openly when Bilawal thundered during his speech that Bhuttos are not afraid to sacrifice but the days of blood and sacrifice are over and now he is there to promise them roti, kapra and mukan and he is the one who will herald a new morning.

Its a truth that PPP has given so much martyred to this country and merely blood and jails are not the destiny of this party. Bilawal’s sun is about to rise.

  1. I liked Asifa’s speech, she speaks way better than Bilawal — She’s got flare!

  2. indeed!

  3. i believe what Zia couldn’t do in 11 years, Mr ZARDARI would soon accomplish ie: to bring BHUTTOISM TO AN END…. so there would be a little room for junior Zardaris in politics

  4. What amazes me most is our attitude (also disappoints me one hell of a lot) . What is it that makes them better than you? What makes you, almost, automatically accept others to be your leaders. Why indeed? You are just as much Pakistanis as any of them, you are as much educated, perhaps, even better then them all, Bhutto-Zardari or Sharifs or Chaudhrys etc. etc. etc. but why then your this attitude - why? Think about it!

  5. Bilawal Zardari or Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Benazir struggle all her life but this drag queen(Young Zardari) guy might give a good emotional speech but what does he know about the miseries of poor? Same 38years old Slogan Roti Kapra aur Makan for whom? Do not make fool of poor illitrate masses? These people are just looking towards the chairs in Pakistan> What Zardari(sr) has achieved in last one year? Which direction we are going? His top aids are the Most corrupt of Corrupt Brigade? How they survive 10 years in London? Where did they got the support to survive? Rehman, Farooqui etc were not Wadera’s? These people need to bring back there cash which is abroad then you can provide Roti Kapra aur Makan.
Benazir Did not even trusted her own Husband but she left her WILL with a Philipino Maid?

  6. A leader is born, but here it is like a family business, so where is democracy.
The illiterate people of Pakistan shall vote for him and he will get elected and rest of the population need to suffer.
This is the time young people specially students to rise up and take control and wipe out the menace of corruption. Enough for the old traditional politicians.

  7. Leadership is an acquired trait to a very large extent. This is a myth that they are born. Remember, God has made us all equal (genetically we resemble each other as close as 99.9 %) which simply means we all have been endowed by the nature with enough ability to train to be what anyone else can. Then how come we are not, answer is because we and our parents before us have let themselves be convinced of our lowly place and others privileged place in our society. We just have never questioned the legitimacy of one group allocating and reserving all the resources of our country just for themselves and their hand picked slected few. No opportunity for us to train for leadership role. It is about time that we refuse to accept this manipulation and refuse anyone or a group of people to claim leadership over us. Where there is equal opportunity based on merit people from very modest background make it to the top. I must point this out here as an example - look at our military - people like President Ayub Khan, Zia Ul Haq, President Musharraf and now General Kiyani all from very humble background making it to the top - why? Because they had the equal opportunity to be trained to be leaders. This is what we must have in our civilian lives.

    Wake up and think!

  8. Gulhum ibne ghulum nation couldnt think beyond its range of confined mentality and always try to follow the laws of family monarchy as holy revelations.
See our history these feuds are protected by uniform men most of time,They prefer to intermarriages with each others make a strong bond and rule the deprived class.
our generals come from ordinary class but what they did to us and compare it what they bestowed to their family through their power of uniform,
Gen ayub a rejected officer by quiad azam becom head of state and CMA and now his generation is running the billion dollar industries. All financial goals had been achieved in their father era.He belong to veiled family but his daughters had illegitimate relations with feuds of north even having illegitimate pregnancies with these feudal characters so all is justified in this level.
Zia a low IQ man was selected for killing Palestinians first and his this act of obedience was praised by his masters who used under cover of his duffer personality to kill one of intelligent feuds cum politician of our soil.In rewards his low IQ sons got jobs US banks and now running business ventures as per their low capabilities.they own billion rupees property in Islamabad, lahore and bhawalpur area. So how 22 grade officer come to that level of corruption is beyond the range of our common sense. In return he gave us KK and drug culture and breed of fanaticism, still haunting us like beasts of our society.
Musharf , nothing new to discuss and no time to waste on eplanet and myzones like ventures.
so all contributed to rape their mother as per their capacity and range.

  9. Ayub made it to a Maj. General in the Quaid’s life, which is not an ordinary achievement every Captain’s family must know this - what his family did or did not do has nothing to do with his merit.

Zia was a Brigadier when “slected” to do what widow of some ex - Sgt. Maj. might like to know. Again it is not ordinary either for someone coming from his background. What his sons do shows culture of the area they represent - they keep getting almost what they like no questions asked.

But like I said before - if Musharraf says that Cancer is bad you all would wish to have it - well then it is your choice, go and get it.

  10. I personally feel that time is running very fast and feud are loosing their grip on poor people of Pakistan. So I don’t see the next generation of existing political icons as successful Politicians or Leaders (Sorry calling them leaders). People can not fill their stomachs with slogans like “Zinda Hai Bhutto Zinda Hai”…

  11. Times are changing, and we shall see the rise of the middle-class.

    Jeeay MQM!

  12. Thanks Nazia for supporting MQM.

  13. over my dead body this thing is possible only.Live nazia cant think of supporting such mafias of terror and horror.

  14. Please stop living in a state of denial, your post directly endorses MQM’s manifesto.

  15. MQM is very good in paper work, love letters and dummy telephonic speeches. We all know what are their real faces and many times showed off in TPS.Further are in queue waiting for right topics. So dont try to challenge our freedom of speech you would be back fired as usual with full intensity.

  16. nazia @ 15
nazia is suffering from Altafobia and cannot see beyong ‘horror and terror’ in Karachi.
What is happening in other parts of the country is not bothering her at all???

  17. PPP is the party that gave most martyrs to this country. Bilwal Bhutto Zardari is the son of that family who gave their blood for this country not for any personal cause. I am quite sure that in the future if this country needed blood this family will once again be at the top to render their life for this country. Leadership is not just to rule, leadership is to give life for the country, this is what BB Shaheed and Z.A Bhutto did. Bilwal will prove the best and i m sure he will materialize dreams of his mother. Those who dont know how to sacrifce, dont know how to rule.

  18. Well all that I would like to suggest all my Pakistani Breathrens is this that Bilawal is only 20 years of age. He is a chaloue youth just like any one of us, he has lost his mother and all of a sudden is laden by such herculine responsibilities than probably his weak shoulders may not have the strength to carry. All that I would like to suggest that he is giving to the people more than his capacity because of the immense expectations by him. I am not a ppp supporter but if go into history then we will see that Benazir Bhutto was same as Bilawal. So lets stop critising him and lets give the poor guy a chance. And if any other person has the potential to step up and take the burden ,so I would suggest them to stand up!! Any ways we should be concerned about Pakistan and only Pakistan!!

  19. Unless we are able to bring about a dramatic change in our attitudes towards these jangli waderas, corrupt beurocracy , inept political leadership , family dynasties at the top political level regardless of the talent , we would soon see the demise of the present geographical boundaries of Pakistan as they stand now. Period. Now don’t get upset guys. I am no less patriotic than you are but cant help stop seeing what,s happening within the country.

Nature is taking its course and we are definitely a more chaotic nation and a society than we were 20-30 years ago.

Even Allah swt says in Quran that we don,t change the condition of people unless they change themselves. Also history is full of examples where nations got destroyed ( or were destroyed actually)
because the majority of its people got corrupted.

Wake up guys, indulging in these non-productive debates and finger poinrting would only accelerate the whole disintegration process. We are losing valuable time . Its time to get up and protest against the injustices and change the system. Are you ready to do that? Lets all join hands and make the move. Others would follow if we are brave enough….

  20. BILAWAL U R THE BEST I BELIEVE ON U UR SPEECH WAS VERY GOOD I ONLY LIKE U
