Everyone is worried, apprehensive and pensive in the country. People are unsure about the future of the country and they are unsure about themselves. They are very confused and bewildered. To add to these woes, country is severely in the grip of rumors about bombings and suicide attacks before and on Eid.

After the horrendous attack on the Marriott Hotel, and then bomb blast in Hasilpur, and then the on going operation in Bajaur, Khyber and Mohmand Agency; the rumors are on all time high. There is very little rush in the markets, though Eid is just round the corners, and the attendance in the mosques is also low despite of month of Ramadan. Hearts are bleeding and there is no passion for the upcoming festival.

Daily false news travel through SMS or email about the suicide attacks and blasts. Miscreants just for fun or the adversaries on purpose make anonymous calls to airports, railway stations, hospitals and even in mosques about the false placement of bombs and the potential suicide attacks. That cause loads of hassle and misery to the people and to the law enforcement agencies.

We the people could help our country by not passing on the false news about terrorism incidents to our friends and relatives before confirming. We should also keep our eyes open for enemy and we must be on our toes. Now it’s the war of our survival.
