Lawyers Agitation Eye Opening Articals

PPP Senator Latif Khosa who is also a member of Pakistan Bar Council and Mr Farooq Naik (likely Attorney General of Pakistan) strongly disapprove Aitzaz Ahsan's agitation and other pressure tactics for restoration of judiciary which tantamount to subjugating democratic process in Pakistan. Both of these leaders believe that elections 2008 have provided an opportunity to a democratically elected political party and any black mailing and intimidating Pakistan Peoples Party at this stage will harm the cause of legal fraternity. Their thinking and perception is supported by majority of senior lawyers and notable intellectuals in Pakistan.

Each day, newspapers in Pakistan are full of such comments who say that The war for an independent judiciary, remarkable as it was, should have ended on the night of February 18. That responsibility must now pass to the elected members of the National Assembly.

Please read two such articles published in two Independent English newspapers of Pakistan.

Well said, yet I find an anomaly in the statement that the government is trying to jack up oil prices. If you haven't heard yet, its a global issue. $110 dollars a barrel today, record high.
