Back-Breaking Policies of PML-Q

By Ghazala Khan • Jan 26th, 2008 • Category: Pakistan Vote'08, Politics • One Response

Whenever you ask the proponents of previous regime of PML-Q, their main focus is upon the economic growth and the increased volume of economy. They will shower facts and figures upon you like hell, and you will be left wondering as why in the hell then everything is so out of reach to buy.

After all these years of Musharraf rule, people have become really desperate and they now cannot decide whether to buy food for their children or to buy medicine for them, or to pay their school fees. People have already bode farewell to luxuries like going for picnic with their children and eating outside, and attending marriages. Things are really nasty for the majority of Pakistanis, who are living hand to mouth, and numbly watching President Musharraf telling Europeans that Pakistan is the most fastest growing economy in South Asia.

Poor do not even give a hoot about the inflated volume of economy and how the metrics are indicating a positive growth. Poor only knows that he cannot buy flour, sugar, vegetables, meat and medicine, and he cannot afford the basic utilities of life.

The disgusting irony is that the lotas of PML-Q are “promising” us that if we “elect” them they will carry on their ground-breaking policies. God Forbid.
