Charms strike the sight, but merit wins the soul

By Dawar Naqvi • Jan 24th, 2010 • Category: Entertainment

Before current one day series against Australia, we had played 3 matches one day series against New Zealand.
Suppose to be players who played well in last one day series should be given chance in this current one day series.
You can see how we do injustice and unfair treatment with some players.
This time is with Khalid [...]

Islamization and Talibanization, the Basic Difference

By Dawar Naqvi • Mar 19th, 2009 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look

Islam means peace. Our prophet (PBUH) spread Islam through his character, honesty and reputation. Even before he announced for his prophecy he was famous as an AMEEN (Trust Worthy) and SADIQ (One Who Spoke Truth) among people with any faith. Our prophet’s life is an example for all mankind.
Character is like a tree and reputation [...]

By Dawar Naqvi • Jan 23rd, 2009 • Category: Misc

RECENTLY our selection committee announced the 15 member team for coming series against Sri Lanka but unfortunately ignored the best batsman and highest scorer of the Quaid-i-Azam trophy, Fawad Alam.

He is also the Captain of National Bank.

Heart of the Wise

By Dawar Naqvi • Jan 6th, 2009 • Category: Politics

The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning; but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth.
When a whole world is sad on recent Israeli attacks in Gaza, extremist in Pakistan continues bomb blasting.
Today they have done in DI Khan.
This is not done by Israeli or Indian.
They are Muslim Pakistani [...]

Heaven of Pakistan Cricket Board

By Dawar Naqvi • Dec 17th, 2008 • Category: Politics

Heaven of Pakistan cricket board goes by favor,
if it went by merit, PCB officials would stay out and their dog would go in.
Recently Pakistan cricket board announced to resume departmental cricket.
This decision was appraised by many peoples.
But on other hand PCB is not allowing last year champions of PCB Patron’s trophy (grade 2) cricket
tournament to [...]

A conversation is a dialogue, not a monologue

By Dawar Naqvi • Dec 15th, 2008 • Category: Politics

A conversation is a dialogue, not a monologue.
That’s why there are so few good conversations: due to scarcity, two intelligent talkers seldom meet.
On 5th of December 2008, Richard A. Boucher, US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia,
called on MQM chief Altaf Hussain at the MQM’s international secretariat in London and discussed with [...]

Loya Jirga

By Dawar Naqvi • Dec 2nd, 2008 • Category: Politics

Those who won our independence believed liberty to be the secret of happiness and courage to be the secret of liberty.
We dare not forget that we are the heirs of that Pakistan revolution.

Million people sacrificed their lives to give us beautiful gift of Pakistan.
But what we are doing with this gift.
We are allowing group of [...]

Fitna Technique

Pakistan is really on some race stuff.
It’s unfortunate that we don’t deal with it and that’s why it doesn’t go away.

Acrimonious exchange of words took place between the Awami National Party (ANP) and
the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) legislators in the National Assembly on Friday over calling the
NWFP as ‘Pakhtunkhwa’ by the former.

Well Done Mustafa Kamal

By Dawar Naqvi • Nov 18th, 2008 • Category: Politics

Many of the great achievements in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.
I’d place current Nazim of Karachi Mustafa Kamal best fit for this quote.
Generally we Pakistani Americans hear negative news about Pakistan.
If it is about politics we mostly hear about [...]

Character is not made in a crisis

By Dawar Naqvi • Nov 5th, 2008 • Category: Worth A Second Look

Character is not made in a crisis. It is only exhibited.
Pakistan is going through a very bad time.
Pakistan financial stability is on the edge of disaster.
Pakistan government pursued IMF to help them out form this crisis.
This is the biggest insult for any respected nation.
Some of our leaders from JI, PML (N) and PTI always show [...]
