Assassins for Arbab Ghulam Rahim
By Amna Gilani • Apr 17th, 2008 • Category: Politics • 4 CommentsFormer chief minister of Sindh and PML-Q’s Sindh president Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has accused Sindh Home Minister Zulfikar Mirza for arranging for his assassination. According to Arbab Rahim, Zulfikar Mirza has already made huge and hefty payment to the assassin in American dollars and assassins are now after him.
When late Benazir Bhutto, the two-time Prime Minister of Pakistan was making noise and was raising all sorts of hell before coming to Pakistan that her assassination had been planned and she even identified some groups for that, no body especially the ruling party led by Arbab Rahim in Sindh paid any attention and they called it a cheap stunt to gain sympathy and attention. Then Benazir was attacked in Karachi in which huge number of people died and Benazir escaped narrowly, but then assassins got her in Rawalpindi on 27th of December.
So by keeping that in mind Zulfikar Mirza may call Arbab Ghulam Rahim a “mentally retard” person, but he must make arrangements for the security of former CM. Anything is possible in the fatherland.

Dear amna there is no resemblance in both BB and Arbab case but you right that he should be provided security. Any third party can try to become beneficial of this blame game between arbab and mirza. In other words it is not a doctor’s case but security related issue.
These guys should know what goes around comes around!
Best place for him is Mental Hospital.
Ms. Gilani, you have used above the term “Fatherland” for our moutherland Pakistan. I am kinda interested to know the reason / motivation of this. I have noticed with interest this change of relationship with our country, lately. I will be obliged if you allowed me an insight into your thinking.
Mr Kamran Shafi in DAWN has been quite consistent in using this expression lately.
