Another Attack on Judiciary
By The Pakistani Spectator • Sep 16th, 2007 • Category: Uncategorized • No ResponsesAfter an obvious decision by Supreme Court, former prime minister Mian Nawaz Sharif was once again exiled to KSA, and since then the ministers of government are continuously giving away hard statements for the judiciary, which is highly condemnable. Government ministers are saying that the extradition of Nawaz Sharif is not a contempt of court, and then an ally of government, MQM, sorrounded the Sindh high court, when the hearing of the incidents of 12th May were going on, a lawyer who was following this case was also murdered in Karachi, and the leader of MQM Altaf Hussain also adopted a very tempestuous tone against the judiciary, and now the statements of Shujaat Hussain are heralding a new danger for the judiciary.
It’s ironic that when Shujaat Hussain himself is saying that the direct clash between judiciary and establishment is dangerous for the country, then why he himself is targeting judiciary? It seems that another attack on the judiciary is in the offing.
