American Poodles Don’t Get Democracy
By The Pakistani Spectator • Feb 7th, 2008 • Category: Pakistan Vote'08, Politics • No ResponsesIn order to salvage our beloved Pakistan, it’s very crucial in these days to understand that precisely who is rocking the boat, and who is the evil force behind this chain of terrorism and crisis over crisis.
We Pakistanis don’t want to turn our backs on democracy, and we don’t want to see our lawyers and judges fail in their struggle for free judiciary and rule of law. We Pakistanis are surely and without doubt preoccupied with democracy, and whatever United States and the rest of the West says, they are just superficially worried about democracy in Pakistan, and their cosmetics statements about democracy in Pakistan are just dollops of cunning.
Democracy in Pakistan is the last thing America is worried about. All it cares is about how it could squeeze more and more blood from the North West of Pakistan. All it cares about how it manages to gain control over the tribal belt to thunder at Iran and to tower at China, not to forget keep an eye on the nuclear assets of Pakistan. It’s not about terrorism or any thing. Terrorism is just a pretext which has replaced communism, and is a new tool in the hands of Uncle Sam to cop the world.
So we shouldn’t look towards America for the democracy or human rights, and Imran Khan once again proved his fledgling and questionable political acumen, when he went running to Washington like a poodle to plead with Americans. President Musharraf would be laughing at him, and so would be the Americans.
