America Wants Civilian Head of ISI

Anyway we agree to that. YES. But on a condition. The Pentagon must be led by then our General Musharraf.
American government is pressing upon their puppet civilian government in Pakistan to bring the ISI in their command, or in other words, under the American command. President Zardari, last year, made a failed attempt to give the ISI under the orders of Rehman Malik.
Americans even wanted to include that condition in the Kerry Lugar Bill and the Hussain Haqqani was lobyying for it, but then the saner heads in Pakistan prevailed.

Where is the Leadership in Pakistan?
How can any part of government be NOT under civilian head? That is the whole point of Democracy: Of the people, By the people, for the people.
Sid, No use saying that to these “Junglee” Pakistanis. They don’t understand the concept of democracy. In fact, when the foundation of their lives, their religion itself does not understand what democracy is, how can these twits even comprehend what the evolved humanity follows or thinks?
When their god itself behaves like a dictator and gives out a set of rules, pray to me for 5 times a day (typical of dictators to order people to bow to their statutes on streets), do this, do that, kill them, anyone who does not believe in me should be killed etc, of course they are all brain washed zombies and any free thinking does not suit their existence.
For everyone else, God is someone who is kind hearted, who has created us and even if someone does not believe in him, he understands like a loving mother/father rather than order to kill them like a ego maniac.
Also, I have tremendous respect for all religions but Muslims are not helping themselves and their religion by their fanatical hatred of everyone else. They hate Indians, they hate Americans, they hate the jews, they hate everyone!! If their religion is really so called a “Peace” religion, they should first begin by loving everyone.

Whatever you said is correct to some extent. But please keep some Indian muslims out of your opinion. They are different than some paki fanatic muslims because some Indian muslim prefer religion as personal. They do not force their religious sentiment on others. They do not mix religion in everything they do.
The ISI should be under civil govt and the civil govt should be under the US govt … No amazement on American intentions.
Then i believe RAW should also be headed by the Civillian government, would you believe the communist government in China appointing a civilian head to a people’s liberations army? Civilian democratic heads of our State in Pakistan are already sold commodities to the White’s in American or England so its easier for those people to control the democratically elected politicians. The army institution is made up of 90% middle class in Pakistan they are trained to die for this country and for them it is of supreme importance to protect the rights of there people. We need a middle class leader someone who has no connections in America, UK or Saudi Arabia. He would bring all institutions into a centralized leadership which would put us on a path to progress. Right now we are heading nowhere with our eyes closed.

The religion which you are refering to, was not the one brought by Holy Prophet P.B.U.H.
Democracy is not forbidden, mutual agreement or mashwara is a sunnat, time and again demonstrated by Holy Prophet P.B.U.H.
Even after the death of Holy Prophet P.B.U.H. this sunnat was followed .

Allah is not thirsty for the blood of innocent people. Just to give you an idea , a man and woman cannot be convicted of zina even if they are caught in the same room. Zina has a death punishment.
The islam the two of you are refering to is a creation of people with vested interests, and it was these people with vested interested who mytred the grandson of the Holy Prophet P.B.U.H.
Unfortunately the Islam has been distorted, and an outsider like you who have only seen this distorted version of islam. Then mock the religion, its God, and its Holy Prophet P.B.U.H.
I dont blame you for this.
Secondly, What would you call a person who goes to chruch every sunday?
or what would you call a person who obeys all the traffic rules?

It was our history that Americans never able to control civilian heads who is representing a parliament.That is why they always preferred a military dictator.One man one show and one to one talk this is comfortable environment for them so far.
Still their talks are revolving around president house and they mostly consult him and army chief for their plans in our region.
This time as designed war on terror is escalating and becoming out of control of US and secondly free media has exposed the corruption of establishment in more pragmatic ways so that might be reason of started changing their policies and now they are in mood of trusting civilian chief .
They would have been surely understand that our civilians are also top in the race of corruption so what they actually want is still not very clear.They might have any particular choice for that post that is annoying our arm men as for last 20 years ISI has become backbone of a dictator to give him all kind of legal and illegal support to grab the political situation as per choice of him.
So two powerful bulls are standing face to face .
Lets see how much damages would come in account of country and public too.
In short they are no more trusting on Fauji damagh for key posts handling terrorism.

As far as I know, RAW is under civilian govt. control. Civilian govt. of India can cut its (or military) budget, if it wants. They do not have their own revenue sources other than budget allocations. I don’t have first-hand knowledge about China, but I do not believe it is a democracy.

It is easier to blame on heads-of-state. Why do you think heads-of-your-state sold themselves to West? Why didn’t they find enough money and comfort in Pakistan?

Leadership is not sufficient. Society is more important: a society which seeds right values and ambitions is what makes or breaks a country.

Mr.Sajjad, I apologize if I hurt your sentiments but you have to understand that we will create our opinions only on the version of Islam that we see and experience day to day. Where is the “real” Islam that you are talking about? Why does it not come out of hiding and teach a lesson to these “people with vested interests”?
I have many Muslim friends and they basically are nice people as long as religion is not involved. Let me give you an example of the liberal nature of Hindu religion and the narrow thinking of Islam.
In India, during Ramzan, even Non-Muslims greet each other with “Id Mubarak” messages. A Hindu will tell another Hindu “Id Mubarak” but a Muslim will never greet another Hindu, less alone another Muslim “Happy Diwali”.
For us, god is a supernatural force, a force who loves us unconditionally, who forgives us for the small mistakes we make like a mother/father does, at the same time, punish us if we don’t mend our ways but not in a cruel way.
When my god tells me that we have to pray to him 5 times a day, tells me that non-believers will rot in hell and they should be killed or made to pay taxes, he doesn’t seem like a god anymore to me. I thought god had much more important things to do with the creation that write a rule book where he writes about a husband beating a wife if she does not comply!!
But anyway, forget the above, it is Muslims own business what they follow. The problem today to the region and humanity is Pakistan, an Islamic nation. The problem begins when you mix religion with state matters. Religion should be a personal tool towards god and salvation and men should be credited with a little brain to create their own society rules.

Why would the indian premier during Sharm-Al-Sheikh admit that they have no information from military branch as to what RAW was comitting in Afghanistan and Balochistan. Iam privy to that conversation behind closed doors. If the civilian government does want to stop RAW they should do now to stablize both Afghanistan (by cutting off its funding through indian consulates) as anymore provocation would lead to same consequences as happened to Pakistan during the Cold War era.
China is not a democracy but its military branch is seperate from its civilian branch which controls the governance. India is a big democracy then why muslims in india are victimized while people like Mr Modi go scott free. How can a President of United States Veto a bill when the elected member of congress or senate pass it. I thought democracy is about the right of voters and there elected leaders not about a one man show. Everyone in Congress and Senate wanted India to be exempted from nuclear watchdogs but president Bush did not agree, he kept those clauses in the nuclear deal and in the end signed with those watchdogs on India’s nuclear programme. A democratic institution wont Veto its people’s demand.
If our leaders worked to give comforts to the people they would be given comfort by the same people. They dont belong in Pakistan they belong in Dubai, England or Saudi Arabia. There lifestyle in those countries are expensive so they need money afford such a lavish lifestyle.
We had ambitions but without a good leader people will loose faith, they would turn to faith of religion and become extremists. Those people if can get justice, good governance from a good will not need to indulge in islamization and total loss of faith in values and system.

If you ever come across the translation of Namaz, you will find that only the first few line or the “sanaa” is the praise of Allah, then from Surah Fatiha till the end it is what we ask for ourselves and others.
As far as rotting in hell is concerned , i know, you (assuming that you are a hindu, apologies if i am wrong) also have a concept of “suwarg” and “narak” , the ones who are pious and kind to their fellow men will go to suwarg and the rest to narak. “Paap” and “Pune” . Without the concept of reward and punishment no one will behave.

Well, it really pains me to say, that due to our (muslim’s) ignorance , we have left the religion to the mullahs who are cluess about it. It pains me to say that the religion which took pride in have peace as its first and primary weapon, is dominated by blood thirsty mullahs. Jihad or war is only permitted if the existance of muslims is under threat. I think the modern day courts of law also forgives a murder committed in self defense. If would be wrong to single out Islam in this aspect, but as you have mentioned, you have only seen the illierate mullahs and their followers who are ready to kill on the slightest incident.
I have no way of proving it, except for my verbal assurance that, the peace loving muslims are there, who are working to bring a change.

Unfortunatley i dont see the change comming sometime soon, it will take time but i am hopefull it will come. It requires hard work, its up to us muslims to struggle and work it out.

There is fine line between what you know and what you think you know.
Democracy by definition is a vague concept, if you think what everybody believes or calls a democracy is NOT a democracy, then it is not democracy and I cannot change your mind. You seem to believe you some how know, what is allowed in democracy and what is not; I am not that confident about my understanding

Bush is living free in US, what do you say about that? The system around you is so complex that some people just get away by influence. Humans are not machines, so no social system ever stays in its ideal position. As long as time continues, it would never stay as it is (or it was or it will be). There always was-is-and-will-be a margin of error.
You should look at it like human body, if one part of you gets sick it doesn’t necessarily mean other parts get it too. You got cold doesn’t effect your eye sight or hearing. If you take appropriate care of it, you would get your health back; so is the society — its a continuous struggle and there are no fullstops.
I don’t expect you to understand the depth of what I say here, but I hope you would give it a try.

One should only indulge in a topic or rather accusation if one has ample knowledge of it.At first your remarks showed your own bias and hatred for Muslims narrating how they hate others and after one sane and well informed individual like Ali Sajjad replied humbly to your bitter criticism you felt sorry.First and foremost every religion has its own obligations that are incumbent upon every follower so is our namaz.Did we ever ask you why your God makes you bow infront of him which is an act of slavery and Dictatorship?
Did we call him anyother name as you did?You say u respect every religion here is where you showed your respect.As for Democracy is concerned before starting accusation you should better study Islam and i am sure it will leave you spell bound because it has advocated democracy in every form n shape.Infact the selection of first chaliph and others who followed him were due to democratic decisions.Islam never ordered to kill any one from any religion.Quran says,
“A MUSLIM IS A ONE FROM WHOSE HANDS OTHERS ARE SAFE.”
At another place it says,

It shows the moderated approach of islam towards women.So naming islam responsible for every ill in Islamic society is the height of ignorance.I have heard many Hindu women beaten by their Hindu husbands,do you think their husbands had to do anything with islam?or if in the other corner of this world some christain abuses his wife or beats her,is that because of islam?

Tell me a name of one Muslim area where this hadees is practically demonstrated.,
This is not happen in any Muslim world even the richest Sandia the house of Islam can not give such protection to Muslim woman.
So just follow the approach what is real happening in Muslim world and this is to keep her in black gown as symbol of slavery of men.
Like this all other mentioned ayats have become only impractical and write only part of Islam.

You should also understand that what I am trying to communicate you that Jai like character has no interests what was happened in our past and what is the real spirit of Islam.
He and other non muslim can only see the Islam through the live example done in Saudi or around them Saudia is our Holy land and should be presented as source of all teachings that had been preacehd by Holy Prophet.,
Do any Muslim country or her leader has any courage to declare that these saudis are ignorant Muslims who mostly denying the real spirits of Islam and presenting as one of thick walled faith in which only influenced people can enter and all others are beheaded if try to trespass from a certain limits.
So give them real and live examples around you.
