Ameer Izzat Khan and Muhammad Alam Killed : Implications
By Rohail Butt • Jun 6th, 2009 • Category: Politics • One ResponseThe naib ameer of Tahreek-e-Nifaz Shariat Muhammadi(TNSM) Maulana Muhammad Alam and spokesman Ameer Izzat Khan have been killed during clash between security forces and militants in Sakhakot. It was an ambush and the terrorists came there to specifically eliminate the TNSM leaders.
It’s not that both Ameer Izzat and Muhammad Alam were innocent, rather they had their fair share in Fitna and destruction caused in the Malakand Division and they acted as the right hand of the TNSM chief Maulana Sufi Muhammad. Both of these killed leaders were also not liked by the Fazlullah led Taliban in Swat, as these two wanted to establish their writ in Swat, as a result of the Nizam-e-Adl, but the Fazlullah wanted to expand farther and wanted to have his own dictation followed in the region.
Now the terrorists have tried to get numerous benefits by killing these two. They are hoping that people would think that Ameer Izzat and Muhammad Alam were killed by security forces themselves and this would spark violence among the Malakand population, especially those in the camps as many people still like TNSM. These terrorists have also hoped to gain some excuse to wage more more and terrorism on the security forces and the common people in the name of revenge.
But the truth is that the Malakand people and the shoora of the TNSM knows the reality and they must recognize now that terrorists are no friend to anybody and they have to remain under the writ of the government and avoid from terrorism and start vying for the Shariah peacefully.
